Angels reassigned Cs Anel De Los Santos, Jose Jimenez and Carlos Ramirez to minor league camp.
De Los Santos underwent surgery to repair a ligament early in his thumb last week and is expected to get a late start on the season. Jimenez had a double in his only spring at-bat and Ramirez batted once in four games played.

Connor Seabold was removed from Saturday’s game in the sixth inning with an apparent ankle injury.
Seabold slipped and fell while throwing a pitch, and Drew Anderson replaced him against the Reds. Seabold retired just one of the four batters he faced tonight, but he wasn’t charged with a run.
Who will play shortstop for Mets with Lindor hurt?
James Schiano talks about the "suddenly surging" Mets, analyzing how they will recover from "ironman" Francisco Lindor suffering a calf strain and sharing why New York is "in a bit of a pickle" at the shortstop position.

Ty France hit two solo homers as the Padres topped the Diamondbacks 6-4 in Mexico City on Saturday.
France, now 9-for-34 with three homers on the season, has started two straight games against righties and should be clearly ahead of Miguel Andujar and Nick Castellanos on the Padres’ depth chart for the moment. It’s not really relevant outside of NL-only leagues, but it is extra reason to think the Padres might move on from Castellanos in the not-so-distant future.
  • SD Starting Pitcher #33
Germán Márquez turned in six innings of four-run ball for a win against the D-backs in Mexico City on Saturday.
Giving up four runs over six innings in Mexico City definitely unofficially rates as quality start, much like it did in Márquez’s old home in Colorado. The win makes him 3-1 with a 4.38 ERA and a 17/7 K/BB in 24 1/3 innings. He still doesn’t make much sense in shallow leagues, but he wouldn’t be the worst option next week at home against the White Sox.
  • SD Relief Pitcher #22
Although he went without a strikeout again, Mason Miller was perfect in earning his 10th save Saturday against the Diamondbacks.
Milller fanned 25 of 38 batters in his first 11 appearances this year, but he’s 0-for-6 the last three days, not that it’s mattered. Since this was another quick inning, he’ll probably be available to work for the third time in four days on Sunday.
  • AZ Left Fielder #12
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went hitless on Saturday and is 1-for-20 since coming off the injured list a week ago.
It’s pretty incredible how quickly Gurriel made it back from his torn ACL to try to help a needy Diamondbacks club, but it sure seems like he should have played in more than two official minor league games before being activated. At this point, the team will just have to wait for him to find his swing.
  • LAD 3rd Baseman #13
Max Muncy, who was reported to be sick before the contest, was lifted from Saturday’s game against the Cubs in the fourth inning.
Muncy homered and walked twice before being replaced by pinch-runner Santiago Espinal. Normally, that would be a downgrade — Muncy runs better than Espinal — but it seemingly was a nod to Muncy being under the weather.
  • AZ Shortstop #2
The Diamondbacks are calling Geraldo Perdomo day-to-day with a sprained left ankle.
Perdomo was hurt while trying to field a grounder in the Mexico City game Saturday. He’ll probably get at least Sunday off, putting Ildemaro Vargas at shortstop.
  • WSH 1st Baseman #87
Nationals optioned 1B Andrés Chaparro to Triple-A Rochester.
Chaparro’s stay on the roster lasted seven hours, as the Nationals weren’t going to continue to play with only 12 pitchers. They’ll bring up a reliever prior to Tuesday’s game.
  • AZ Shortstop #2
Geraldo Perdomo left Saturday’s game in the seventh inning with an apparent left ankle injury.
Perdomo was hurt while awkwardly fielding a grounder, which ended up being an error. He was able to walk off the field without too much of a limp, so hopefully this is just a day-to-day matter. Tim Tawa replaced him, with Ildemaro Vargas moving from first to short.
  • BOS Manager
Red Sox named Chad Tracy as interim manager.
Tracy will take over after the team announced the firing of Alex Cora. The 45-year-old has been the manager for Worcester — Boston’s Triple-A club — since 2023. A good showing over the final 125-plus games will give him a shot at keeping the gig for good. The club also promoted Chad Epperson as third base coach and Collin Heltzler to be a part of the hitting staff from Worcester.
