The Pirates non-tendered Jaramillo earlier this month. He hit .326 (14-for-43) in the majors in 2011 and will act as organizational catching depth next year for Chicago, perhaps serving as Geovany Soto’s primary backup.

Fischer was the Brewers’ first-round pick out of Tennessee last year, and he’s hit .298 average with 20 homers in his time with High-A Wisconsin. The 22-year-old’s power is impressive, and while it’s most likely not going to be in the majors in 2026, it can’t be completely ruled out. He could be an impactful fantasy player by the end of 2027.

Seager is out of the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Red Sox, and the symptoms come from a collision at home plate against the Royals on Thursday. The 32-year-old is considered day-to-day, but he’ll need to be clear of those symptoms before he gets back in the lineup.

Webb is known for being a groundball pitcher, of course, but he got a bunch of lazy flies today in improving to 4-4 with a 3.46 ERA. It’s the second straight start in which he’s pitched eight innings and allowed one run, as he did so in a no-decision against the Nationals last week. He’s allowed a total of two earned runs in 27 1/3 innings over four starts since coming off the IL. Next up for him is start in Miami against the Marlins.

It wasn’t a save chance, but Kilian, now designated the Giants’ closer, turned in his seventh straight scoreless appearance since giving up five runs in a blown save and a loss to the Rockies on May 29. His ERA is back down to 3.13.

Ryan Rolison retired all four batters he faced as the opener today. Rea then kept the Giants scoreless until the fifth, when he gave up three of his four runs. The three hits in that inning were a 52-mph flare over Alex Bregman’s head, a popup double into no man’s land down the left field line and then a homer from Matt Chapman that would have stayed in play in 27 ballparks. Rea fell to 5-5 with a 5.35 ERA. He’s probably looking at a move to the bullpen if Matthew Boyd can return later this month. If the Cubs stay in the current rotation, he’ll face the Blue Jays on Saturday, but they could make adjustments after Thursday’s off day.

The line drive homer would have gone out of only three ballparks, but it was a 106.8-mph bullet. Chapman now has seven homers, six of which have come since the beginning of July. He was leading off today against a left-handed opener, which was an oddity. He’s been batting seventh against righties, but he’ll probably return to the middle of the order as soon as Tuesday.

Muncy’s homer brought the Athletics to within 14-8 in the fifth inning. Not a typo. He also drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. Muncy is now hitting .236/.298/.409 in his 31 games and 110 at-bats.

Rumfield hit one of the six homers for the Rockies in a 23-run onslaught. The homer was his ninth of the season, while his triple was his second of 2026. Rumfield has been a very nice surprise for Colorado in 2026, and his slash increased to .280/.361/.445 with the pair of extra-base hits.

Castro hit a grand slam in the eighth inning, and a three-run homer a few innings earlier. He also singled twice and improved his slash to .278/.350/.402 with five homers and 29 RBI on the campaign. Castro seems likely to be dealt before the deadline, but he’ll at least get a few more weeks to pile up the stats with the Rockies before that happens.

It still counts just the same, even coming in the pitching cesspool that is Sacramento. Goodman is now up to 20 homers on the season, and he took Jeffrey Springs deep in the first inning to give Colorado a 2-0 lead. That was one of six homers on the day for Colorado, and the slugger added a second while also singling thrice for a five-hit night. Goodman has looked the part again in 2026, and there’s not much reason to think he won’t be among the best fantasy catchers in baseball for the foreseeable future.
