Wade Meckler went 1-for-2 with two RBI, three runs scored, and three walks in the Angels’ 10-1 win over the Astros on Tuesday.
Meckler reached on an error in the first inning and scored on a groundout. He then drove in two runs on a double in the second before scoring again. After drawing a walk in the fourth, he reached for a fourth time on his third walk in the eighth and scored a third run. The 26-year-old outfielder has been outstanding as the strong side of a platoon in left field, hitting .340/.417/.547 with two homers, 10 runs scored, and 12 RBI across 60 plate appearances.
