Diamondbacks purchased the contract of RHP Bradin Hagens from Triple-A Reno.
Hagens will serve as long-relief depth for Arizona. He was sporting a 4.12 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and 62/54 K/BB ratio through 115 2/3 innings this season at Triple-A.

Addison Barger left Sunday’s game against the White Sox with bilateral ankle discomfort.
Barger was replaced by Jesus Sanchez. The 26-year-old outfielder will assuredly undergo testing to determine the severity of the injury, and his status should be updated shortly.
Wetherholt cementing himself as a stellar rookie
J.J Wetherholt is quickly becoming a high-level infielder for the St. Louis Cardinals and James Schiano explains what makes him an impact player as a rookie.
  • PIT 1st Baseman #29
Ryan O’Hearn homered, doubled and drove in four runs on Sunday afternoon, propelling the Pirates to an 8-2 victory over the visiting Orioles.
O’Hearn got the party started in the opening inning, crushing a 3-0 fastball from Chris Bassitt for a 402-foot (103.8 mph EV) two-run shot. He then capped off a four-run uprising in the second inning with a two-run double. The 32-year-old slugger finished the afternoon 2-for-5 and is now hitting a robust .367/.459/.700 with three long balls and 11 RBI on the season.
  • PIT Center Fielder #15
Oneil Cruz went 2-for-4 and clubbed a two-run homer as the Pirates crushed the Orioles on Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh.
Cruz was hit by a pitch to start the game for the Pirates but was then doubled off on a line drive. He then plated a run with an RBI infield single in the third inning and raced around to score on a two-run double off the bat of Ryan O’Hearn. Cruz did the bulk of his damage in the sixth, clobbering a 415-foot (107.2 mph EV) two-run shot off of Cade Povich that increased the Pirates’ lead to 8-1. He’s off to an outstanding start to the 2026 campaign, slashing .314/.368/.657 with four homers and 10 RBI, though he has yet to steal a base.
  • PIT Left Fielder #28
Jake Mangum went 2-for-4 and scored a pair of runs as the Pirates triumphed over the Orioles on Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh.
Mangum reached on a bunt single to load the bases in the second inning then scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Bryan Reynolds. He then led off the sixth inning with a single and rode home on Oneil Cruz’s two-run blast. He’s now hitting .261 (6-for-23) with zero homers and one RBI in the early going of the 2026 season.
  • PIT Starting Pitcher #35
Braxton Ashcraft delivered a dominant performance during Sunday’s victory over the Orioles, racking up eight strikeouts over six innings of one-run baseball.
Ashcraft scattered just four hits on the afternoon and didn’t allow a base on balls. The only blemish on the 26-year-old hurler’s day came on an RBI double by Pete Alonso in the fourth inning. Ashcraft generated nine swings and misses on 87 pitches on the day, registering a CSW of 29 percent. He’ll carry a strong 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and an 11/4 K/BB ratio (12 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Cubs in Chicago. At this point, he probably deserves consideration in all mixed leagues.
  • BAL Left Fielder #3
Taylor Ward went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored as the Orioles fell to the Pirates on Sunday afternoon.
As a team, the Orioles had eight hits in the contest, with Ward the only member of the O’s to tally more than one. He led off the fourth inning with a double off of Braxton Ashcraft then scored his club’s first run on an RBI double off the bat of Pete Alonso. While he has yet to hit a home run, Ward is off to a nice start with his new ballclub, slashing .343/.429/.457 with five RBI and a 9/6 K/BB ratio in his first 42 plate apperarnces.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #40
Chris Bassitt was obliterated during Sunday’s loss to the Pirates, surrendering six runs on six hits in just two innings of work.
Woof. Bassitt also issued a pair of walks in the ballgame and did not record a single strikeout. The Pirates got to him for two runs in the opening inning on a two-run blast by Ryan O’Hearn. They added four more in the fourth, with O’Hearn’s two-run double capping off the damage. Bassitt got five whiffs on 62 pitches on the day, posting an uninspiring CSW of 23 percent. He’ll try to pick up the pieces and improve upon his 14.21 ERA and 2.84 WHIP when he takes on the Giants at home on Saturday.
  • CHC Catcher #9
Miguel Amaya went 1-for-2 with a walk and drove in the game’s only run in Sunday’s 1-0 victory over the Guardians in the first game of their doubleheader.
Amaya finally broke a scoreless tie with a run-scoring single off of Connor Brogdon in the eighth inning that plated Dylan Carlson. That was all the offense the Cubs would require in this one. He’s off to a sizzling start at the plate this season, slashing .417/.500/.750 with a homer and four RBI in 14 plate appearances.
  • CHC Relief Pitcher #48
Daniel Palencia picked up his first save of the 2026 season on Sunday, working a perfect ninth inning to preserve a one-run lead against the Guardians.
Palencia was called upon to protect a 1-0 lead in this one and he didn’t disappoint. He needed just 13 pitches (10 strikes) to Kyle Manzardo, Bo Naylor and Daniel Schneemann in order, including a strikeout of Schneemann to end the ballgame. Palencia has yet to allow a run through his first three innings on the season.
  • CHC Starting Pitcher #30
Edward Cabrera pitched well in a no-decision against the Guardians on Sunday, allowing one hit over 5 2/3 scoreless frames.
Cabrera did issue five walks on the afternoon while striking out four opposing hitters. The lone hit was a very catchable leadoff double to CJ Kayfus in the sixth inning that Michael Conforto got a bad read on in right field. Unfortunately for Cabrera and fantasy managers, the Cubs were unable to scratch out a single run of support for him. He got 10 whiffs on 97 pitches on the day, registering a CSW of 23 percent. He has been brilliant through his first two starts with the Cubs, hurling 11 2/3 shutout innings with a 0.69 WHIP and a 9/6 K/BB ratio. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling when he takes on the Pirates at home on Saturday.
