Diamondbacks acquired C Michael Blanke from the White Sox for cash considerations.
The 26-year-old backstop is a career .254/.322/.396 minor league hitter and has never played above Double-A. He’s nothing more than organizational catching depth for a Diamondbacks team in desperate need of it.

Charlie Condon went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in a loss to the Royals on Saturday.
That’s already the third homer of the spring for Condon. The third-overall pick of the 2024 draft has hit .538 with a 1.321 slugging percentage over the first nine games of the Cactus League, and it’s a reminder of the enormous upside he showed in college prior to joining Colorado. It’s not crazy to think Condon could help the Rockies in 2026, and maybe fantasy managers can get some of that benefit, too.
Target Abreu late for fantasy RP amid Hader injury
Eric Samulski and James Schiano look at the 'landmine-y' world of fantasy relief pitchers and explain why Josh Hader's injury gives Bryan Abreu a massive boost in value.
  • KC Outfield #15
Lane Thomas drove in five runs in a blowout win for the Royals over the Rockies on Sunday.
Thomas tripled with the bases loaded for three of the RBI, and he drove in runs on a single and a fielder’s choice for good measure. The 30-year-old is expected to have an everyday role with Kansas City in 2026, and there is some fantasy upside because of his speed and pop.
  • KC Outfield #12
Nick Loftin hit a grand slam to help the Royals to a 16-3 shellacking of the Rockies on Saturday.
Loftin hit his salami off Michael Lorenze in the first inning. The 27-year-old has been an up-and-down player over the past few seasons with Kansas City, and it’s likely that’ll be his role again in 2026.
  • MIL 1st Baseman
Andrew Fischer hit a solo homer in a loss to the Reds on Sunday in a Cactus League skirmish.
Fischer has his first homer of the spring. The 21-year-old was the 20th pick of the 2025 draft out of Tennessee last summer, and his power gives him a chance to be a quick advance to the majors. A 2027 ETA is more realistic than 2026.
  • CIN 2nd Baseman #9
Matt McLain went 2-for-3 with a solo homer in a 9-7 win for the Reds on Sunday against the Brewers.
McLain took Coleman Crow deep in the first inning. He also singled and scored a second run. McLain was awful in 2025 with a .643 OPS, but fantasy managers shouldn’t forget how good he looked in his rookie campaign in 2023, and there’s a chance for some power/speed production this summer.
  • SF Catcher #13
Eric Haase went 2-for-3 and hit a grand slam Saturday in the Giants’ 8-2 defeat of the Athletics.
The veteran Haase is competing with Rule 5 pick Daniel Susac and fellow prospect Jesus Rodriguez for the backup catching gig in San Francisco. As such, the A’s probably didn’t mind giving up his grand slam today; if Haase beats out Susac, it becomes a lot more likely that the A’s will be able to reclaim their former first-round pick.
  • SF Pitcher #54
Tyler Mahle pitched one scoreless inning with two strikeouts in his spring debut Saturday.
Mahle was slowed by an illness last week, so he’s a bit behind the rest of the Giants’ starters right now. Fortunately, he has plenty of time with which to catch up. His 92.7-mph average on his fastball today was up 0.7 mph from last year, though well shy of the 94.0 mph he averaged in his best season with the Reds in 2021.
  • ATH Starting Pitcher #58
Luis Morales was charged with four runs in 1 2/3 innings Saturday in a loss to the Giants.
Even though he was very effective in his 2025 audition, Morales isn’t assured a spot in the Athletics’ rotation, and he definitely hasn’t helped himself by posting a 12.27 ERA through two outings. J.T. Ginn and Mason Barnett are probably next in line if Morales fails to win a rotation spot.
  • ATH Relief Pitcher #36
Hogan Harris struck out two in a scoreless fifth inning Saturday against the Giants.
Harris looks like he wants to be very much a part of the closing mix in Sacramento. His fastball today topped out at 96.9 mph and averaged 95.8 mph, which is up 2.3 mph from last year. That he’s a lefty works against him becoming the Athletics’ sole closer, but he should be in line for some saves.
  • CWS Infield #20
Miguel Vargas went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI against the Guardians on Saturday.
Vargas has hit well in the early portion of Cactus League action with a .429/.467/.571 slash. He’s coming off a so-so 2025 campaign with a .235/.317/.402 slash with 16 homers, making Vargas a tough sell as more than a bench option on fantasy rosters in deeper leagues.
