    Braves released RHP Andrew Thurman.
The former second-round pick has battled control issues all year in the minor leagues. He’s yielded 65 walks over 87 innings for Double-A Mississippi and High-A Carolina and only has one win in 18 starts. The 24-year-old will try to latch on with another organization.

Austin Hays has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain.
Grade 1 is the best case scenario for a strain. Hays was placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday’s game, and while he won’t be back after a minimum stint, there’s a good chance that he can be back in the lineup by the end of April or start of May, if there are no setbacks.
Rea an 'interesting' fantasy SP with Horton out
Eric Samulski shares why Cade Horton's forearm injury could be a "long-term" situation and examines what options fantasy managers have with the Cubs SP on the injured list.

Nationals activated RHP Paxton Schultz off the 15-day injured list.
Schultz, 28, missed just over the minimum 15 days after being placed on the IL retroactive to March 22 with elbow inflammation. The 28-year-old takes Andre Granillo’s spot in the atrocious Nationals’ bullpen and will likely work in the middle innings.
  • BAL Catcher #35
Adley Rutschman is not in the starting lineup against the White Sox on Tuesday.
Rutschman will get a breather with Samuel Basallo catching Trevor Rogers. Gunnar Henderson will be the designated hitter, so Blaze Alexander gets the start at shortstop.
  • NYM 3rd Baseman #7
Brett Baty is hitting fifth and playing right field against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
Baty was scratched from Sunday’s lineup with a jammed thumb, but he was available off the bench and now the 26-year-old will return to the lineup against Zac Gallen and the Arizona bullpen.
  • DET 2nd Baseman #50
Tigers INF prospect Hao-Yu Lee has been activated off the 7-day injured list by Triple-A Toledo.
Lee was out of action with an oblique strain he suffered just before the start of the World Baseball Classic. The 23-year-old is one of the better infield prospects in the Detroit system, ahd he could be an option for the Tigers before the end of 2026.
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #58
Rob Zastryzny is expected to be out until the end of April at least after being diagnosed with an intercostal strain.
Zastryzny picked up the injury while rehabbing from the shoulder strain that sidelined him through spring training. The 34-year-old will be a middle-inning option for Milwaukee near the beginning of May if there are no further setbacks.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #63
Orioled optioned RHP Brandon Young to Triple-A Norfolk.
Young was solid in his start on Monday, throwing five shutout innings in a win over the White Sox. The Orioles may now insert Cade Povich into the rotation to take Zach Eflin’s place, but Brandon Young may actually be the better option of the two and should get another chance soon.
  • CWS 3rd Baseman #5
Munetaka Murakami is not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Orioles.
It’s a routine day off for Murakami, but it probably doesn’t hurt that the Orioles are pitching left-hander Trevor Rogers. Murakami has gone 1-for-6 with four strikeouts in eight plate appearances against lefties this season, so that could be something to watch as the season goes on. The 26-year-old has plenty of power, but is also hitting .206 with a 31 percent strikeout rate so far this season. Lenyn Sosa will start at first base and bat second with Miguel Vargas shifting to DH, and Tanner Murray entering the lineup at third base and batting sixth.
  • CWS Left Fielder #27
Brooks Baldwin (underwent UCL surgery on his right elbow with an internal brace and will be out for the remainder of the season.
Baldwin was diagnosed with a sprained right elbow near the end of spring training after battling inflammation. He then opted to undergo surgery on April 1st and is expected to make a full recovery for spring training in 2027. In the meantime, Luisangel Acuña and Tristan Peters will continue to get regular at-bats in the outfield, with Sam Antonacci waiting in the wings in the minors.
  • CLE Shortstop #74
Juan Brito is starting at second base and batting sixth on Tuesday against the Royals.
Brito was called up earlier in the morning with Gabriel Arias (hamstring) landing on the IL, and he will be right into the starting lineup. He flashed 20-home run power in the minors, but that doesn’t feel sustainable at the MLB level, so he can be avoided in fantasy leagues for now.
