According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, this year’s National Baseball Hall of Fame ceremony is expected to be postponed to 2021.
The Hall of Fame is expected to meet with their board members this week before making an official decision. Still, it’s the logical call amid the COVID-19 pandemic. There are always gigantic crowds for the ceremonies in Cooperstown, New York and the same was expected this year with Derek Jeter and Larry Walker originally scheduled to be enshrined on the weekend of July 24-26. Now they’ll be inducted along with whomever ends up getting voted in next January. Curt Schilling likely has the best shot.
