It’s an extremely rare day off for Machado following a precautionary exit from Monday’s series opener due to a left leg issue. Jake Cronenworth takes over at the hot corner for the first time in his career with Fernando Tatis Jr. making another start at second base. It doesn’t appear to be a significant concern, but that Padres are going to give Machado a little extra time off to rest and recover.

Realmuto is trending towards a return to Philadelphia’s lineup this weekend after taking on-field batting practice prior to Tuesday’s contest at Citizens Bank Park. The 35-year-old veteran backstop hit the injured list with back spasms last week.

Atlanta is hoping to have Iglesias back at some point in early May after he hit the injured list with relatively minor shoulder inflammation last week. The 36-year-old underwent an MRI that didn’t reveal any structural damage and it’s an extremely positive sign that he’s throwing already. He’ll likely return to the closing role with Robert Suarez returning to setup duty once he’s back in a few weeks.

Nationals manager Blake Butera told reporters an MRI on Beeter’s right forearm didn’t reveal any structural damage. The 27-year-old hit the shelf with forearm soreness over the weekend. It sounds like there’s a chance he’s back in Washington’s bullpen rather quickly.

Rogers added that Steele was aiming to make his season debut sometime around Memorial Day in late May, but that’s in jeopardy now. The 30-year-old left-hander has been working his way back from last year’s Tommy John surgery and recently progressed to facing hitters in live batting practice sessions. There should be a more definitive timeline from the Cubs at some point soon regarding the nature of the setback.

Mitchell gets an opportunity atop Milwaukee’s lineup to face Arizona veteran starter Merrill Kelly, who has been hit hard in a couple outings this season. Brice Turang is back in the third spot after leading off five of the last six contests. The 27-year-old speedster has been scuffling at the dish recently, but this feels like a nice spot for him to turn things around. He’s always going to strike out a bit more than fantasy managers want to see, but Mitchell is an exciting power/speed combo talent.

Lee finds himself back in the leadoff spot for the second consecutive contest after going 4-for-5 with a triple during Sunday’s series finale against the Marlins. Willy Adames has been dropped to sixth in the order. The 27-year-old has been on a roll recently, hitting .439 (25-for-57) with two homers and five RBI over his last 15 games. He should be rostered in all fantasy formats, especially if he’s going to serve as San Francisco’s table-setting moving forward.

Harris returns to the big leagues with third baseman Max Muncy hitting the shelf with a fractured finger. The 27-year-old has gotten into 68 games at the highest level since 2024.

It’s a bit unclear how long Muncy will be sidelined at this juncture. The 23-year-old third baseman was hitting .239/.308/.402 with two homers, seven RBI and two thefts in 26 games to open the season. It’ll likely be Darrell Hernaiz taking over at the hot corner in his absence.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider made the statement to reporters after Springer ran the bases and hit again prior to Tuesday’s game at the Rogers Centre before Toronto. They’ll presumably see how he’s feeling afterwards before making a final decision on his status. The 36-year-old veteran outfielder, who is skipping a minor league rehab assignment, has been out since mid-April recovering from a fractured toe.
