Reds optioned INF/OF Nick Solak and RHP Levi Stoudt to Triple-A Louisville; optioned RHP Lyon Richardson to Double-A Chattanooga; reassigned C Chuckie Robinson and RHP Jared Solomon to minor league camp.
Solak is the most prominent cut from Reds camp as he was in the mix for a spot on Cincinnati’s bench to open the regular season after being acquired last November from the Rangers in a small trade. The 28-year-old offers plenty of defensive versatility and figures to get a shot at some point this season with the Reds.

Michael Helman hit a two-run homer in a 9-4 win for the Rangers over the Mariners on Sunday.
It’s Helman’s first homer of the Cactus League season, and it came off James Kingsbury in the sixth inning. Helman was a nice surprise for the Rangers in 2025 with a .744 OPS in 99 at-bats, and he seems likely to be the fourth outfielder for Texas to open 2026.
Target Abreu late for fantasy RP amid Hader injury
Eric Samulski and James Schiano look at the 'landmine-y' world of fantasy relief pitchers and explain why Josh Hader's injury gives Bryan Abreu a massive boost in value.
  • SEA Infield #2
Cole Young hit a two-run homer in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday.
Young clobbered a two-run homer off Jacob Latz in the first inning. The 22-year-old is battling for the starting second base job to open 2026, but he’ll have to hold off top prospect Colt Emerson to do so. Young is an intriguing dynasty prospect, but one who fantasy managers need to take a wait-and-see approach with before investing.
  • CLE Center Fielder #14
Chase DeLauter homered and doubled in his two at-bats as a DH in Sunday’s 8-3 win over the Rockies.
DeLauter was returning to the lineup after five days off due to lower body soreness. His two balls in play today left the bat at 106 and 99 mph. DeLauter should have a great chance of making the Guardians with a productive spot. Only Steven Kwan is currently promised a place in Cleveland’s outfield.
  • CLE Pitcher #32
Gavin Williams pitched three innings of one-run ball and struck out three Sunday versus the Rockies.
Williams gave up a leadoff homer to Brett Sullivan in the first, but that was his only trouble. Williams averaged 94.9 mph with his fastball, which is a fair bit south of his 96.7-mph average from 2025. He was closer to that 2025 average in the first, but he faded quickly from there. It doesn’t seem like anything to worry about yet.
  • COL Starting Pitcher #32
Chase Dollander reached 100.6 mph on the gun while allowing one run in two innings Sunday against the Guardians.
Dollander’s velocity has been up by about one mph in his first two outings this spring, and he had a fine 35% CSW today. He’s not promised a rotation spot after the Rockies added three veteran starters over the winter, but the team surely wants him to claim one and he seems to be on his way to doing so.
  • COL Infield #1
Adael Amador went 0-for-4 and grounded into two double plays against the Guardians on Sunday.
Amador was banished to Triple-A after criticizing the Rockies on social media last August, but he should have another chance now to compete for what should be a wide open second base job with Willi Castro (who can play anywhere), Edouard Julien, Ryan Ritter and maybe Tyler Freeman. Of course, today’s showing won’t help. He’s 4-for-17 with a homer and two steals so far.
  • CWS Center Fielder #92
Bradn Montgomery tripled and homered in a win Sunday over the Cubs.
Montgomery has his first homer of the spring, and that’s already the second triple for one of the top hitting prospects in the Chicago system. There’s a chance that the 12th pick of the 2024 draft could join the White Sox in 2026, but a 2027 debut seems a little more realistic.
  • CHC Infield #3
Alex Bregman doubled and homered in a 5-1 loss for the Cubs to the White Sox on Sunday.
Bregman’s first spring homer in a Cubs’ uniform came off Kay in the first inning. The 31-year-old has been solid in the Cactus League, as those two extra-base hits along with a walk has him slashing .455/.571/.909. Bregman will hope that hot hitting continues into next week, as he’s set to join Team USA for the World Baseball Classic.
  • LAD Outfield
James Tibbs III hit a solo homer to help the Dodgers to a 4-3 win over the Angels on Sunday.
Tibbs has his first spring homer with the solo shot off Ryan Johnson. A 2024 first-round pick, Tibbs has been traded twice in his early career, and while he doesn’t project to be a star, he has an enough of a well-rounded game to potentially become a regular in the next couple of seasons.
  • LAA Catcher #14
Logan O’Hoppe hit a solo homer in a loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.
O’Hoppe swatted his second homer of the season when he took Landon Knack deep in the first. The 26-year-old backstop was awful in 2025, but there’s enough power in his right-handed bat to believe a bounceback campaign in 2026 is feasible.
