Victor Robles and the Mariners have agreed to a two-year, $9.75 million extension with a $9 million option for 2027, according to ESPN’s Jorge Castillo.
What a ridiculous turnaround for Robles, who was let go by the Nationals after hitting .120 in 14 games to begin the season. He’s come in at .303/.372/.450 in 42 games for the Mariners. The 27-year-old could have bet on a strong finish leading to a superior deal in free agency this winter, but given his history of injuries and inconsistency, it’s easy to see why the guarantee was attractive.
