José Ramírez drew a pair of walks, drove in a run, scored twice and swiped a base on Wednesday as the Guardians triumphed over the Cubs in Cleveland.
Ramírez drew a leadoff walk off of Jameson Taillon in the fourth inning and raced around to score on an RBI double off the bat of Josh Naylor. He then plated a run of his own with a groundout in the fifth inning. The 31-year-old superstar also walked, swiped second base and scored on a two-run double by Andrés Giménez in the eighth. He’s having a monster season across the board offensively, slashing .281/.334/.543 to go along with 31 homers, 98 RBI and 27 stolen bases.
