Mayo went 0-for-15 with 10 strikeouts earlier this month in his first taste of the majors, but will get another opportunity with Baltimore later this weekend once rosters expand. The 22-year-old top prospect has posted sublime numbers at the Triple-A level, but it might take him some time to find his footing at the highest level. How he fares over the final month will determine how much optimism there is from fantasy managers heading into 2025 drafts.

Rodriguez was grimacing after firing a pitch that hit Cedric Mullins in the third inning before exiting with a trainer. The Angels will all but assuredly need Rodriguez to undergo imaging to determine if there’s anything structurally wrong with the 26-year-old, but either way, there’s no guarantee he’ll be able to make his next scheduled start next weekend.

Rice also added a single, and he’s now batting .293 with a .996 OPS for the season. It was his 19th home run of the year, putting him seventh in the majors through the middle of June. Rice has fully broken out in 2026, and he’s done it while maintaining catcher eligibility from last season. It doesn’t sound as if he’ll work behind the plate this year, but expect him to be one of the earliest first basemen drafted heading into 2027.

Warren only struck out one as the Blue Jays relentlessly put runners on base. The right-hander had been enjoying the best season of his career thus far, but he simply didn’t have the feel for his arsenal on Sunday. Warren hasn’t altered his pitch mix from a season ago, but he’s thrown a bit harder so far in 2026. He’ll host the Reds at Yankee Stadium in his next scheduled start.

Corbin struck out three and didn’t walk anyone. The Blue Jays have dealt with several pitching injuries this season, forcing them to rely on the veteran southpaw for innings. Max Scherzer recently returned from the IL, and Shane Bieber could be back shortly too, so it remains to be seen what happens with the rotation. Corbin’s next scheduled outing comes against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Amed Rosario drew the start at third base with José Caballero at second as New York faced southpaw Patrick Corbin in Toronto. Chisholm now has 20 stolen bases on the year, one of just five players to reach the mark so far in 2026. José Ramírez (24) and Oneil Cruz (21) are both sidelined with injuries, which gives Chisholm a chance to vault up the leaderboard throughout the summer. He hasn’t hit like many expected in his free-agent walk year, but the stolen bases are certainly providing fantasy value in the interim.

Caballero’s homer was a three-run shot that provided insurance for the Yankees in the top of the ninth. He hasn’t been the everyday shortstop like many expected since returning from the injured list, but he’s in the lineup more regularly than Anthony Volpe, who has mostly struggled. Caballero now has six homers and 15 stolen bases this season. His stolen base attempt rate has ticked down a little from the past few years, but he’s somewhat balancing it out with a career-best slugging percentage.

It was far from a clean outing for Dominguez, which has been more common than not over the first half of the season for the 31-year-old. He issued a pair of walks, and he allowed an RBI double by Alex Freeland to cut the Dodgers’ lead to 6-4. He was able to keep Los Angeles off the board from that point on, however, and he was able to procure his 12th save of 2026.

Rodriguez was in clear pain after hitting Cedric Mullins with a pitch, and exited with a trainer. He’ll likely undergo imaging before determining the severity of the injury. Rodriguez has really struggled in his first year with the Angels, and unfortunately, injuries have been a significant story in his MLB career.
