The A’s have officially listed their home location as “West Sacramento” and listed their new ballpark as “Sutter Health Park” in West Sacramento; however, as of now they have yet to designate themselves as the “Sacramento Athletics.” It’s unclear what they’re waiting on, but all signs point to the Athletics playing in Sacramento for a few seasons.

This is not a huge surprise since we know that Judge is seeing a specialist today to examine the bone bruise in his rib cage that has been causing him problems. We should know by tomorrow if this will lead to a trip to the injured list, but, for now, Jose Caballero will start in right field again with Ryan McMahon at third base and Paul Goldschmidt at designated hitter.

This was a bit of a concern for fantasy purposes when Arroyo was called up on Monday. The Reds simply have a glut of position players who need at-bats. Spencer Steer will start at second base on Wednesday with Sal Stewart at first base, Nathaniel Lowe at designated hitter, and Matt McLain at shortstop.

Taylor will take Nick Castellanos’ spot on the roster and is capable of playing all around the outfield and at second base. He was hitting .319/.406/.500 in 51 games at Triple-A with seven home runs and nine steals. He seems likely to serve in a super utility role with the Padres.

Castellanos seemed like a solid low-cost gamble when the Padres signed him this offseason, and he was let go by the Phillies. Instead, the 34-year-old hit .191/.221/.339 in 122 plate appearances with four home runs, 20 RBI, and two steals. There may still be a team that claims him on waivers since his salary with the Padres is minuscule.

Since Trevor Story has been injured and Marcelo Mayer has shifted to shortstop, Kiner-Falefa has been getting regular starts for the Red Sox at second base. Since the beginning of May, he’s hitting .357/.438/.476 in 49 plate appearances with one home run, eight RBI, and two steals. He can be picked up in deeper fantasy formats while he’s getting regular playing time.

The procedure is called a radiofrequency ablation of the facet joints, which uses controlled heat to disrupt sensory nerves that are transmitting pain signals to the inflamed spinal joints. All of that sounds rather intense, but Miller will apparently be fully shut down for just one week, then return to rehab with the goal of appearing in minor league games in 6-8 weeks.

Schultz is continuing to throw, but the team is not going to get him up on the mound until the soreness in his right knee subsides. The 22-year-old has been on the injured list since May 26th with right knee patellar tendinitis. Given that he was likely set to face some sort of innings restriction this season, we expect the White Sox to proceed cautiously with the left-hander in his recovery.

It’s been a rough season for Friedl, who is hitting .179/.259/.256 with two home runs and five steals in 178 plate appearances. He’s still playing solid center field, but the Reds want to see if Noelvi Marte can replicate some of that defense with far more offensive upside.

Marte has crushed Triple-A pitching since being demoted, hitting .369/.409/.575 in 176 plate appearances with eight home runs and nine steals. Yes, he had struggled with the Reds to begin the year, but it was only 31 plate appearances over 11 games. This is still a 24-year-old who hit 14 home runs and stole 10 bases in 90 games last year while hitting .263. Marte has been playing center field in the minors and is coming up for TJ Friedl, so we have to assume the Reds are going to give him a look in center field. He deserves to be added in all formats based on what he showed last year.

The Mets need a fresh arm in the bullpen, so Gerber will get the call as a short-term addition. He could head back to the minors as soon as Kodai Senga (back) rejoins the rotation at the beginning of next week.
