Ryan Pepiot gave up just one run while working six innings to get a win over the Padres on Saturday.
Pepiot didn’t have his best swing-and-miss stuff with just three strikeouts, but he took advantage of an aggressive San Diego lineup while allowing just three hits. The 27-year-old has pitched well outside of one start against the Red Sox on April 15 where he gave up six runs, and he’s allowed just 10 total runs over his other five outings. He’ll get a chance to keep up the good work against the Yankees next weekend.

Ketel Marte went 2-for-4 and swatted a solo home run on Tuesday evening as the Diamondbacks rolled to a 4-1 victory over the White Sox in Chicago.
The 31-year-old slugger got the Diamondbacks on the board first as he clobbered a 3-0 fastball for a 401-foot (106.7 mph EV) solo shot. Marte also singled in the fourth inning but wound up stranded at first base. With his two-hit attack, he’s now slashing a robust .320/.424/.608 with a 15 homer, 32 RBI and a pair of stolen bases.
Rutschman to be sidelined through All-Star break
Eric Samulski discusses Adley Rutschman suffering an oblique injury that will keep him out through the All-Star break, sharing why fantasy baseball managers should consider dropping Rutschman and picking up Gary Sanchez.

Geraldo Perdomo went 1-for-4 and drove in a run on Tuesday as the Diamondbacks bested the White Sox.
Perdomo capped off the scoring in the ballgame with a run-scoring single in the seventh inning that increased the Diamondbacks’ lead to 4-1. While he has slumped a bit as of late, the 25-year-old infielder is still slashing a solid .260/.355/.411 on the season with eight homers, 53 RBI and 11 stolen bases.

Taj Bradley took a no-hitter into the sixth and wound up throwing 6 2/3 scoreless innings Tuesday in the Rays’ 5-1 defeat of the Royals.
Definitely bad news for anyone awaiting Joe Boyle’s promotion. Bradley, who got just four outs and gave up seven runs to the Orioles six days ago, allowed only two hits and one walk tonight. A double from Jonathan India broke up the no-hitter with two outs in the sixth. Bradley didn’t overwhelm with his four strikeouts and eight missed swings, and he still seems like a weak option in mixed leagues right now. His next start is due to come in Baltimore against the team that shelled him last week.
  • KC Starting Pitcher #50
Kris Bubic surrendered four runs — two earned — in six innings and struck out eight Tuesday in a loss to the Rays.
One of the unearned runs was Bubic’s own fault, as he made an ugly toss after grabbing a soft grounder down the first base line and was very fortunate, he didn’t get his first baseman, Vinnie Pasquantino, hurt on the play. Still, there aren’t many things to complain about with Bubic this season. He might already be slowing down some — he’s given up 12 runs over 15 2/3 innings in his last three starts — but he has a 2.18 ERA through 15 starts. He’ll face the Dodgers on Sunday, unless maybe the Royals want to bring in a spot starter before then.
  • TB 1st Baseman #2
Yandy Díaz had three hits, including a double, and a walk against the Royals on Tuesday.
Díaz crushed his first two hits tonight. The first left his bat at a season-high 114.0 mph, and the second matched his previous season high of 113.4 mph. The third, on the other hand, was 71 mph and pounded straight into the ground. Díaz has multiple hits in six straight games and is 29-for-60 with four homers in his last 14 games, raising his season average from .240 to .289.
  • TB Catcher #19
Danny Jansen had a two-run homer and a sac fly versus the Royals on Tuesday.
The streaky Jansen has hit four homers in 11 games, matching his total from his first 42 appearances. He’s driven in 10 runs during the span.

Shelby Miller slammed the door on the White Sox on Tuesday evening, protecting a three-run advantage to earn his ninth save of the season.
The 34-year-old right-hander didn’t mess around in this one, getting Lenyn Sosa, Luis Robert Jr. and Edgar Quero each on fly balls to center field, needing just 12 pitches (eight strikes) to get the job done. Miller has now successfully converted nine of his first 13 save chances on the season while registering a 1.97 ERA and 0.53 WHIP across 32 innings of work.
  • ARI Starting Pitcher #19
Ryne Nelson pitched well in a no-decision against the White Sox on Tuesday night, piling up seven strikeouts over five innings of one-run baseball.
Nelson allowed just one hit on the evening while walking three batters. That lone hit also produced the White Sox’ only run as Luis Robert Jr. got him for a solo shot in the second inning. Aside from that though, Nelson was in complete control. He generated 12 swings and misses on 87 pitches on the night — 11 of them on his fastball — while posting a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll look to get back in the win column as he lugs a 3.71 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and a 52/21 K/BB ratio (60 2/3 innings) into Monday’s divisional showdown against the Giants.
  • CWS Center Fielder #88
Luis Robert Jr. swatted his eighth home run of the season on Tuesday, accounting for all of the White Sox’ offense in a losing effort against the Diamondbacks.
The 27-year-old outfielder tattooed a 1-0 slider from right-hander Ryne Nelson for a 357-foot (101.7 mph EV) solo shot in the second inning that evened the score at one run apiece. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the night. He continues to be mired in an abysmal season at the dish, slashing a cringe-inducing .185/.270/.313 with eight homers, 32 RBI and 22 stolen bases.
  • CWS Starting Pitcher #61
Mike Vasil pitched well in a losing effort against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday night, giving up two runs (one earned) on only three hits over his 5 1/3 innings of work.
The 25-year-old right-hander struck out one batter on the evening and did not issue a base on balls. Vasil took over after Jordan Leasure gave up a run in the first inning and he kept the Diamondbacks off the board until the seventh where he allowed a one-out single and a man to reach on an error before turning the ball over to the bullpen — and ultimately both runners came around to score. Vasil got just three swings and misses on 67 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 25 percent. He now sports a 2.82 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and a 39/27 K/BB ratio over 54 1/3 innings on the season. He’s likely to take the ball in a bulk role once again when the White Sox battle the Dodgers in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
