Aaron Judge crushed his American League-leading 16th home run of the season on Tuesday, powering the Yankees to a 5-2 victory over the visiting Rangers.
Judge led off the fourth inning with a single off of Patrick Corbin, swiped second base, advanced to third on an infield single and scored the game’s first run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Ben Rice. He then broke the game open with a 326-foot (99.8 mph EV) two-run shot off of Caleb Boushley in the eighth that capped off the scoring in the game. He’s now just one home run behind Shohei Ohtani and Kyle Schwarber for the Major League lead while slashing an absurd .403/.491/.762 with 16 long balls, 43 RBI and four stolen bases for good measure.
