Phillies claimed RHP Ryan Cusick off waivers from the White Sox.
Cusick heads to his fourth different organization since May 27. The 25-year-old prospect has been a hot commodity on waivers since being designated for assignment by the Athletics a couple weeks ago, spending time briefly with the Tigers and White Sox as well.

Orioles recalled RHP Cameron Foster from Triple-A Norfolk.
Foster, 27, has made five appearances for the Orioles this season, posting a troublesome 5.87 ERA, 2.35 WHIP and a 9/6 K/BB ratio across 7 2/3 innings. He’ll function in a middle relief role for the Orioles.
What has made Bleday so successful lately?
Eric Samulski discusses how Cincinnati Reds' J.J. Bleday has been "one of the hottest hitters in baseball" recently, going over key statistics that speak to his success and why fantasy managers should look out for him.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #61
Orioles optioned LHP Josh Walker to Triple-A Norfolk.
The demotion comes as a bit of a surprise as Walker has pitched well in his limited action for the Orioles, hurling three scoreless innings with a 0.67 WHIP and a 4/1 K/BB ratio. He should get another opportunity with the big league club in relatively short order.
  • PIT Right Fielder #29
Pirates placed 1B/OF Ryan O’Hearn on the 10-day injured list with a right quad strain.
O’Hearn sustained the injury during Saturday’s contest against the Phillies. No word yet on the severity of the strain or how much time the 32-year-old slugger may stand to miss. Jake Mangum was activated from the injured list in a corresponding move on Sunday.
  • PIT Left Fielder #28
Pirates activated OF Jake Mangum from the 10-day injured list.
The 30-year-old outfielder had been shelved since May 6 due to a left hamstring strain. Before he was sidelined, Mangum had been hitting .260/.333/.288 with zero homers, three RBI and five stolen bases in his first 82 plate appearances. Ryan O’Hearn (quad) landed on the injured list in a corresponding move on Sunday.
  • ATL Shortstop #7
Ha-Seong Kim is absent from the Braves’ starting lineup for Sunday’s tilt against the Red Sox.
The Braves continue to ease the 30-year-old infielder back into full-time action. He’s off to a slow start at the dish, hitting .077 (1-for-13) with a pair of strikeouts through his first four games. Jorge Mateo will start at shortstop and will bat seventh for the Braves on Sunday afternoon in Atlanta.
  • ATL Shortstop #14
Mauricio Dubón is not in the Braves’ starting lineup for Sunday afternoon’s contest against the Red Sox.
It appears to be nothing more than a routine day of rest for the versatile 31-year-old. Jose Azocar will draw a start in his place in left field and will bat ninth against Red Sox’ right-hander Brayan Bello on Sunday.
  • BOS 3rd Baseman #5
Caleb Durbin is not in the Red Sox’ starting lineup for Sunday afternoon’s showdown against the Braves.
It has been a very rough season for the Red Sox’ third baseman, as Durbin has flailed to a hapless .169/.252/.250 slash line with only one home run, 14 RBI and four stolen bases in 152 plate appearances. Nick Sogard will start in his place at the hot corner and will bat ninth against Braves’ right-hander Grant Holmes.
  • ATL Starting Pitcher #76
Braves signed LHP Austin Gomber to a minor league contract.
Gomber made nine appearances (eight starts) for the Rangers at Triple-A Round Rock, posting a horrifying 7.75 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and a 29/14 K/BB ratio across 33 2/3 innings. He’ll add some veteran rotation depth for the Braves.
  • TB Relief Pitcher #56
Rays sent RHP Aaron Brooks outright to Triple-A Durham.
Brooks, who was designated for assignment on Friday, passed through waivers unclaimed and will continue to function as extra pitching depth for the Rays at the Triple-A level. He gave up three earned runs in 1/3 of an innings in his lone appearance with the big league club.
  • TB Shortstop #7
Rays recalled INF Carson Williams from Triple-A Durham.
Williams has struggled in his limited action with the Rays this season, hitting just .130 (3-for-23) with zero homers, three RBI and a 9/1 K/BB ratio. He’s unlikely to see enough playing time this time around to warrant consideration in mixed leagues.
