Trivino ascends to Philadelphia’s relief mix prior to Tuesday’s showdown against the Mets. The 33-year-old signed a minor league pact with the Phillies earlier this month after making 37 appearances this season between the Dodgers and Giants.

It’s possible that he’ll require one additional tune-up in the minors before he’s cleared to return to the Orioles’ rotation. It’s also possible that teams could be calling on Bassitt prior to Monday’s trade deadline.

Smith, 22, ranks as the 15th best prospect in the Rays’ system according to MLB Pipeline while Hill and Pitre rank 26th and 27th respectively. It’s not a bad return for a couple of months of Peralta and should help to replenish the Mets’ system.
