Patrick Corbin wasn’t at his best in Sunday’s no-decision against the Guardians, giving up three runs on four hits over his four innings of work.
On the plus side, the 36-year-old southpaw managed to rack up five strikeouts on the afternoon while issuing a pair of walks. The Guardians took an early 2-0 lead off of him on a two-run single by Johnathan Rodriguez in the home half of the first inning. He then allowed another on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Bo Naylor in the third inning. Corbin got 15 swings and misses on 90 pitches on the afternoon, posting a CSW of 30 percent. The impending free agent finishes the year with a 7-11 record, 4.40 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and a 131/51 K/BB ratio over 155 1/3 innings in 31 appearances (30 starts) for the Rangers.
