Astros acquired RHP Nico Zeglin from the Cubs for international bonus pool space.
Zeglin missed all of last season due to injury after posting a 0.95 ERA and 90/16 K/BB ratio across 66 innings over 25 appearances between Low-A Myrtle Beach and High-A South Bend. The 25-year-old reliever is a textbook definition of a lottery ticket arm. Meanwhile, the Cubs receive $250,000 in international bonus money to close out the rest of the signing period.

Yandy Díaz went 2-for-4 with a leadoff homer on Monday, powering the Rays to a 3-2 win over the Brewers.
Díaz kicked off the scoring by taking Brewers lefty Kyle Harrison deep for a leadoff homer. The 34-year-old on-base machine has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball so far, batting .550 (11-for-20) with six RBI through four games. The key to his early-season success has been re-implementing his approach and swing from three years ago when he won the AL batting title, according to Rays sideline reporter Ryan Bass.
Look to add Mariners SP Hancock off waiver wires
Eric Samulski reacts to Emerson Hancock's "impressive" season debut for the Seattle Mariners against the Cleveland Guardians and breaks down how he looks like a "different version" of himself in his first start.
  • MIL Catcher #24
William Contreras went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Monday’s loss to the Rays.
Contreras put the Brewers ahead briefly with a sixth-inning blast off Rays starter Nick Martinez. He wound up supplying the lone runs of the contest for Milwaukee as Martinez and a quartet of Tampa Bay relievers combined to allowed just eight baserunners.

Kevin Kelly recorded a one-out save on Monday against the Brewers.
Kelly got the call to protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning with a runner on first base after southpaw Ian Seymour retired left-handed batters Garrett Mitchell and David Hamilton. He managed to retire pinch-hitter Blake Perkins on a harmless ground ball to extinguish the threat and preserve the victory. Griffin Jax looked sharp while working a scoreless seventh inning of a tie ballgame while Garrett Cleavinger got the eighth. We’re anticipating the Rays continue deploying a closer-by-committee approach, which makes it a virtually stay-away fantasy-wise.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #52
Kyle Harrison recorded eight strikeouts and yielded one run over five innings on Monday against the Rays.
Harrison generated a career-high 16 swinging strikes and needed an economical 87 pitches (64 strikes) to navigate five frames in his Milwaukee debut. A leadoff homer by sizzling-hot Rays slugger Yandy Díaz accounted for all of the damage against him. The 24-year-old former top pitching prospect continues to impress, aided by increased fastball velocity and the addition of a new kick changeup. He should be rostered in all fantasy formats based on his recent performance and strikeout upside. He’ll face the Royals on the road to close out a two-start week on Sunday afternoon.

Nick Martinez gave up two runs over six innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Brewers.
  • STL 2nd Baseman #16
Nolan Gorman hit a solo homer in a loss to the Mets on Monday for the Cardinals.
Gorman has his second homer of the season with a solo shot off an otherwise effective Clay Holmes. The 25-year-old is slugging .714 on the young campaign, and it’s nice to see a reminder of his impressive raw pop after two straight seasons with an OPS below .700.
  • NYM Right Fielder #22
Juan Soto went 1-for-2 with an RBI in a win for the Mets on Monday over teh Cardinals.
Soto also drew a pair of walks, because of course he did, he’s Juan Soto. The 27-year-old picked up his RBI with a free pass in the fifth to extend the Mets’ lead to 4-1. He’s hitting .353 with a .450 on-base percentage and four RBI to open the campaign.
  • NYM Shortstop #19
Bo Bichette drove in a pair of runs to lead the Mets to a 4-2 win Monday over the Cardinals.
No boos Monday. Bichette drove in a run on a fielder’s choice in the first, and then singled home a run in the fifth. The long-timer Blue Jay has not had much success in his first four games as a Met as seen in a .105 average and slugging percentage, but there’s very little reason to think Bichette won’t be just fine in 2026.
  • WSH 2nd Baseman #2
Luis García Jr. finished 2-for-6 with a double and three RBI in the Nationals’ 13-2 rout of the Phillies on Monday.
García made five of his 13 starts in the field this spring at second base, but he’s only played first since the season started. He’s 4-for-14 with no strikeouts so far, but it’s discouraging for his fantasy value that the Nationals have benched him against both lefties they’ve faced. Of course, it’s harder to justify playing him at first base against lefties than it would be if he were a quality defender at second base.

Foster Griffin pitched five innings of two-run ball and struck out five Monday in a win over the Phillies.
Griffin’s stuff is pretty obviously below average, which is why he had to settle for a one-year deal with a bad team in spite of his success in Japan, but he commanded it well tonight and succeeded despite giving up eight hard-hit balls and generating just eight whiffs on 43 swings. He probably won’t have as much luck with the Dodgers next on the schedule.
