He’s the most likely candidate to lose playing time at DH once Anthony is back from the injured list later this week.

Duran put Boston ahead for good in a back-and-forth marathon in Miami with a 418-foot grand slam to right-center field off lefty reliever Cade Gibson in the 11th inning. It was his 18th round-tripper of the season.

Tolle carried a shutout into the fifth inning at loanDepot park before giving up a bases-loaded sacrifice fly from Brian Navarreto. He also served up a game-tying solo homer to Heriberto Hernández in the ensuing frame. He generated 17 swinging strikes, including 11 on his fastball alone, and finished with seven strikeouts. He’ll face the Mariners on Monday to kick off a two-start week.

Phillips gave up three hits with a solo homer by Mickey Gasper accounting for all of the damage against him. He finished with seven strikeouts and also walked three batters. He’s in line to face the Nationals in his next start on Monday.

Clark’s home run was his second. He hit a two-run shot off Ian Seymour in the fifth inning. Clark was 9-for-49 (.184) with no home runs and four RBI over his last 14 games entering play Tuesday. He’s hitting .247 with a .704 OPS and 12 RBI in the first 23 games of his career.

Seymour gave up seven hits, walked none and struck out five. He fell to 9-5 with the loss. Seymour had 33 strikeouts in 23 innings over four starts in August entering play Tuesday. He only struck out five in 5 2/3 innings against the Tigers. Seymour has a 4.21 ERA. He’s lined up to face the Mets at home next week.

Jansen’s save was his 17th of the year. He retired the side in order while recording a strikeout against the Rays Tuesday. It was career save No. 493 for Jansen, who’s third on the all-time saves list behind Hall-of-Famers Mariano Rivera and Trevor Hoffman.

Jobe gave up four hits, walked three and struck out four. The 24-year-old right-hander has had four starts since coming off the injured list and allowed one run or less in three of them. Jobe hasn’t completed more than five innings in any of his starts and was removed after 4 1/3 innings Tuesday. He has a 3.93 ERA. Jobe is lined up to face the Twins on the road next week.

Massey was lifted for precautionary reasons after hitting his head when he fell down after making a great throw on the run to retire Nathan Lukes in the fifth inning. He finished 0-for-2 with a walk at the plate. He should be considered day-to-day for now.

Story has hit .160 (4-for-25) in seven rehab games since mid-August. There’s a decent chance he’s back as Boston’s shortstop at some point in the coming days. He would be an upgrade from a defensive standpoint, but it doesn’t seem like he’s going to offer much at the plate down the home stretch.
