Gray was able to whiff three in his spring debut while allowing two hits and no walks. The right-hander missed all of 2025 while recovering from Tommy John surgery, and he’s one of the few Washington hurlers who offers some potential intrigue. Fantasy managers probably shouldn’t take the risk just yet, but he’s certainly worth monitoring.

Contreras has shouldered a heavy load behind the dish for the Brewers this season, so they’ll get him off of his feet for a day on Sunday. Gary Sanchez will do the catching for the Brewers and will bat sixth against Rangers’ righty Kumar Rocker.

Meidroth has started every game this week at second base for the White Sox, so he’ll get a well-deserved day off in this one. Sam Antonacci will cover second base while Brenton Doyle draws a start in center field and will hit eighth for the White Sox against Twins’ right-hander Zebby Matthews.

Tokelson has been a fixture at first base for the Tigers this season, but he’ll get a breather with right-hander Tyler Glasnow on the hill for the Dodgers on Sunday afternoon. Colt Keith will start in his place and will bat second for the Tigers.

The 36-year-old slugger will take a seat with left-hander Framber Valdez toeing the slab for the Tigers. Miguel Rojas will start in his place at the hot corner and will bat sixth for the Dodgers on Sunday afternoon at Comerica Park.

It’s the third time in the past four games that the 28-year-old outfielder has found himself out of the starting nine for the Blue Jays. The other two were against southpaws, which makes sense, though this one is against right-hander Logan Gilbert. Myles Straw will start in his place in left field and bat ninth for the Jays on Sunday.

The Yankees had to clear a spot for the return of Luis Gil on Sunday and unfortunately for De los Santos, he drew the short straw this time. The 28-year-old hurler has registered a stellar 1.35 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and a 15/8 K/BB ratio over 20 innings in 15 appearances with the Yankees on the season. He should return when rosters expand in September.

The 28-year-old hurler has been impressive since transitioning to a bullpen role at the Triple-A level and could wind up being a major weapon out of the Yankees’ bullpen down the stretch. Yerry De los Santos was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move to clear a spot in the Yankees’ bullpen.

The 21-year-old infielder was pulled from the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader after suffering a knee injury. The good news is that an MRI exam revealed no structural damage, just a bit of swelling around his patella. It remains unclear if he’ll need a short stint on the injured list or not, but Lombard shouldn’t be looking at any sort of extended absence. Jose Caballero will start in his place at shortstop and bat seventh for the Yankees against Red Sox’ left-hander Ranger Suarez.

It looks to be nothing more than a routine day of rest for the 36-year-old outfielder. Mauricio Dubon will cover left field in his absence while Ha-Seong Kim starts at shortstop and will bat ninth against Rockies’ right-hander Mason Adams.

Carrigg had started each of the previous five games in center field, but he’ll take a seat in this one. Jake McCarthy will cover center field on Sunday while Hunter Goodman serves as the team’s designated hitter and Brett Sullivan gets a start behind the dish for the Rockies.
