It appears to be a matchup-specific wrinkle with Langeliers moving up to the leadoff spot to face Rangers southpaw MacKenzie Gore. Nick Kurtz moves into the second spot in the order with Colby Thomas hitting third and Tyler Soderstrom in the cleanup spot. Lefty Carlos Cortes retreats to the bench following Friday’s two-homer effort.

With Dylan Lee coming off the Paternity List, the Braves will move on from Carrasco and keep Didier Fuents in the big leagues. Carrasco threw one scoreless inning for Atlanta this season. The 39-year-old will likely clear waivers and could return to the Braves on a minor league contract.

Lee was placed on the Paternity List on Tuesday, so he’ll have missed just one game.

This move was reported on Tuesday, but is now official. Rodriguez will make his MLB debut against the Rangers, but is not a recommended add in most redraft fantasy leagues because this could be his only start before the Yankees get Carlos Rodon back in the rotation.

That being said, it’s possible Joyce could be up with the Angels in 2-3 weeks, and with Jordan Romano no longer on the MLB roster and Kirby Yates struggling on his own rehab assignment, there is a chance for Joyce to emerge as a late-inning option for a team that desperately needs one.

Soderstrom came out of the game after making an attempt at a diving catch. Kotsay said that Soderstrom was a little sore, but there were no signs of a concussion. The team will do a few more tests on him today just to ensure that he has indeed avoided any head injury. If he has, he should be back in the lineup after a day or two.
