Noah Cameron allowed just four hits and two walks with eight strikeouts across six scoreless innings in a no-decision against the Mariners on Friday.
Cameron and Logan Gilbert were locked in an impressive pitchers’ duel here where neither blinked. Sadly, immediately after Cameron left the game, the Mariners took the lead. Nevertheless, he played the high-low game well with elevated fastballs that complimented low changeups and curveballs. This gameplan was a big part of his success last season and when executed, he can still be a solid starting pitcher. He’ll take a 4.72 ERA into his next scheduled start against the Yankees at home.
