With the draft just days away I’ve tweaked my ranks with notes on the updates.

Quarterbacks

  1. Malik Willis, Liberty
  2. Matt Corral, Ole Miss
  3. Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh
  4. Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati
  5. Sam Howell, UNC

Change Log

Matt Corral has moved ahead of Kenny Pickett since my original quarterback rankings and profiles. Pickett appears to be sliding a bit in his expected draft position and Corral’s higher ceiling makes him my preferred bet if the draft capital is relatively close.

Running Backs

  1. Breece Hall, Iowa State
  2. Kenneth Walker, Michigan State
  3. Rachaad White, Arizona State
  4. Tyler Allgeier, BYU
  5. Isaiah Spiller, Texas A&M
  6. James Cook, Georgia
  7. Pierre Strong, South Dakota State
  8. Dameon Pierce, Florida
  9. Kyren Williams, Notre Dame
  10. Tyler Badie, Missouri
  11. Zamir White, Georgia
  12. Brian Robinson, Alabama
  13. Tyer Goodsen, Iowa

Change Log

Isaiah Spiller slides down a spot but still makes my pre-draft top 5. His draft position looks shaky but a Day 2 selection would breathe some life back into his value. Rachaad White stays put despite suspect draft position; his receiving profile and production indicate a player who could emerge from Day 3... which is almost certainly where he’ll go. Pierre Strong moves up within Part 2 of my running back profiles. He appears to have a good chance of being selected early on Day 3, and his speed gives him a ceiling if he can emerge. Tyler Goodsen is a late addition, with Shawn Siegele arguing compellingly for him on A Good Football Show.

Wide Receivers

  1. Treylon Burks, Arkansas
  2. Garrett Wilson, Ohio State
  3. Drake London, USC
  4. Jameson Williams, Alabama
  5. Skyy Moore, Western Michigan
  6. George Pickens, Georgia
  7. Chris Olave, Ohio State
  8. David Bell, Purdue
  9. Christian Watson, North Dakota State
  10. Jalen Tolbert, South Alabama
  11. Jahan Dotson, Penn State
  12. John Metchie, Alabama
  13. Alec Pierce, Cincinnati
  14. Khalil Shakir, Boise State
  15. Justyn Ross, Clemson
  16. Wan’Dale Robinson, Kentucky
  17. Calvin Austin, Memphis
  18. Romeo Doubs, Nevada

Change Log

For better or worse, my top-5 receivers remain unchanged. Burks will move down in my ranks if he falls to Round 2, but I’ll believe it when I see it. George Pickens moves up a spot, given his potential to land with a great quarterback in the back-end of Round 1. Chris Olave moves down one spot in my WR 6-10 tier, but is a safe bet and looks locked into the first round. Jahan Dotson moves up a spot but remains in my WR 10+ tier. As an undersized receiver without elite deep speed, Dotson will probably be a better real-life player than fantasy player. John Metchie moves down as he looks unlikely to go Round 2. Pierce moves up given his high likelihood of going Day 2, with an outside chance of going Round 2. Justyn Ross may move lower after the draft, with a late Day 3 selection looking very possible, but his ceiling remains high if goes early Day 3 and can return to full health.

Tight Ends

  1. Greg Dulcich, UCLA
  2. Trey McBride, Colorado State
  3. Charlie Kolar, Iowa State
  4. Isaiah Likely, Coastal Carolina
  5. Jeremy Ruckert, Ohio State
  6. James Mitchell, Virginia Tech
  7. Daniel Bellinger, San Diego State
  8. Jelani Woods, Virginia
  9. Cade Otton, Washington

Change Log

Michell has moved ahead of Bellinger since my initial tight end ranks, due to his superior receiving profile.
