Jaguars acquired G Daniel Faalele from the Giants in exchange for a late 2027 draft pick.

Faalele, who had spent the past two seasons with the Ravens, signed with the Giants in April. He lands with the Jaguars, who featured a solid offensive line in 2025 that occasionally struggled with run blocking. Faalele will likely operate as a rotational player for Jacksonville.
Harris is one to 'monitor' after signing to Giants
Najee Harris returns to the field this season after penning a one-year deal with the Giants. Patrick Daughtery and Denny Carter talk about the veteran and that he should be 'monitored' this season.

Harbaugh won’t be satisfied until every player he coached over his 18 years in Baltimore is on the Giants’ roster. A former fourth-round pick of the Ravens, Faalele was drafted as a tackle but eventually switched to right guard, where he served as the team’s starter for the past two seasons. Faalele didn’t receive much interest in free agency and will likely be competing for a starting spot during the summer.
  • The first of the Ravens’ six fourth-round picks, Faalele (6’9/380) is expected to open the year backing up at both tackle spots. With Faalele under contract, second-round LB David Ojabo is the Ravens’ only unsigned pick.

  • Faalele (6’9/380) is arguably the most unique player in the draft. A former four-star recruit from the prestigious IMG Academy, Faalele grew up playing rugby and basketball in his native Australia before heading to the US to play football. After learning the sport for two years, he proceeded to start 31 of 34 games for the Golden Gophers. He missed the 2020 season after opting out due to the COVID-19 pandemic but earned first-team All-Big 10 honors from the coaches upon his return. Faalele’s game is built upon power. He has excellent grip strength and looks to drive defenders into the ground. He isn’t a statue either, showing good movement skills for a man of his size and stature. His size also limits him with lateral movements and balance. Smaller players can out-leverage him and drive him back into the pocket. He projects as a future starter at right tackle in a man/gap/power scheme where forward movements are prioritized.

  • Faalele (6'9/384) is one of the biggest athletes to have ever entered the NFL Draft. He has massive length and strength that help him maul every defender in his path. Unfortunately, with that size comes athletic testing that is suboptimal. All of his speed and agility scores were under the 10th percentile but he did redeem himself with a 29.5" vertical jump in the 75th percentile. In the NFL, he will be utilized best in an inside zone or man/gap/power scheme and likely be taken on day three.

  • When you talk about a player the size of Faalele (6'9"/380), there isn’t a comp that fits him perfectly. He is a true anomaly in that aspect, but from an athleticism standpoint, comparisons are out there. Former Oklahoma T Phil Loadholt provides an interesting comparison and potential future outlook for Faalele. Both players ran slower than 5.5 seconds, benched 24 reps, and both failed to jump eight feet. Loadholt was a true road grader in the running game, blocking for Adrian Peterson for years but struggled with his foot quickness in pass protection. As Faalele grows and develops in the NFL, Loadholt is a good starting point.

  • Faalele (6'9/384) was dubbed the heaviest player to ever pass through the combine a little over a week ago. He put up just 24 bench reps during combine week, and passed on all other exercises. However, at Minnesota’s pro day he posted a 29.5-inch vertical, and reportedly ran between a 5.4 to 5.6 unofficial 40-time. Faalele has been mocked in the first round of some drafts, and was on The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman’s 2022 Freaks List.

  • The Bengals needing offensive lineman is no secret and Faalele (6'9/384) is a mammoth of a tackle. Don’t let his size fool you, as he isn’t a boulder. He possesses the requisite athleticism to move around and block in space. What he doesn’t have that makes this fit slightly puzzling is his foot quickness. He doesn’t project best in an outsize zone scheme, but he can play in it if needed.

  • It makes Faalele the heaviest player in Combine history. Faalele’s arms measured at 35 3/8″ at the Senior Bowl with a wingspan of 86 inches, making it likely he remains at tackle in the NFL. Faalele isn’t in the same tier as top OT prospects Evan Neal, Charles Cross, and Ickey Ekwonu, but has potential to go in the first round of April’s draft. It would be a surprise if Faalele falls out of the top-50 picks.

  • Faalele (6'9"/384) is a big man and we already knew that, but now it’s confirmed he’s the biggest ever. The former Gophers’ tackle came in weighing 384lbs, the heaviest recorded weight ever recorded at the combine. It only dates back to 2003, but still, it’s amazing. What makes him a great prospect is he doesn’t play like a guy who’s on the cusp of four-bills -- there’s plenty of tape of him blocking and following his much smaller and faster defensive counterparts, including a video released by Jim Nagy last week at the Senior Bowl. This could be great for him as many experts already believe his stock is rising and with his size and athleticism, that’s coming true

  • You know the saying “it’s like running into a brick wall”, well the brick wall should be replaced with Daniel Faalele (6'9"/400). The enormously large tackle impressed at the Senior Bowl and Jim Nagy believes he has the traits to be a high-end starter at RT. The video shows him blocking the edge rusher throughout the arc and not letting him get through at all. With his size, if he can hold down NFL-quality edge rushers, this guy has a blindingly bright future ahead of him. Most mock drafts have going later in the first round or early second, but if he can put on an impressive predraft showing, watch his stock rise.

Rams coach Sean McVay said he hopes to have some answers about Aaron Donald’s plans “sooner than later.”

The Rams have now hosted Donald for two workouts in recent weeks. McVay believes there will be more. Donald is reportedly “feeling good” right now, but there doesn’t seem to be a lean one way or the other. With the regular season opener fast approaching, one assumes a decision will come in the next two or so weeks.

Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur said QB Carson Beck (rib) is unlikely to play in Saturday’s preseason game against the Cowboys.

Beck is scheduled to resume throwing after practice today, though, so the Cardinals’ rookie is indeed on the mend. Beck looked good in his prior preseason action. Hopefully, he has a chance to return in time for his team’s final preseason game against the Packers next week.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that 49ers QB Brock Purdy said he is “prepared to use his mobility more this year if needed.”

The 49ers’ quarterback is not a straight-line burner, but he is more agile than he is given credit for. Purdy adds that he won’t constantly be looking for opportunities to run, however, he believes he can help the offense by scrambling for 10-12 yards from time to time. Purdy has racked up 113 carries over the past two NFL seasons, including the playoffs, proving himself an efficient scrambler with a 47.8 percent conversion rate that ranks first among quarterbacks with at least 50 attempts. He’s a borderline QB1/2. Scrambling more often could get him into the weekly low-end QB1 tier.

Cardinals activated CB Garrett Williams (Achilles) from the physically unable to perform list.

Williams spent Weeks 3-8 on injured reserve with a knee injury last year. He later ruptured an Achilles tendon in Week 16. He totaled three pass breakups, one interception, 37 tackles and three quarterback pressures while active.

Browns coach Todd Monken said he is “not worried” about RB Quinshon Judkins’ (undisclosed) “nagging injury.”

Judkins has now missed two practices in a row. Cleveland’s Mary Kay Cabot reported Judkins’ absence yesterday, noting that Monken abruptly ended Tuesday’s practice because the defense was playing with too much physicality. Per Cabot, Judkins was “the object of much of the chippiness” that day. Monken said Judkins’ injury is unrelated, though. The second-year running back suffered a season-ending fibula fracture and ankle dislocation last year. Hopefully, Judkins’ current issue is unrelated. He could return weekly RB2 value this year, though RB Dylan Sampson could keep Judkins stuck in a run-centric role.

Saints RB Kendre Miller (back) resumed practicing on Thursday.

The Saints’ backup running back statuses continue to change. Veteran No. 2 RB Alvin Kamara (knee) is expected to be sidelined for at least one month, and RB Audric Estime is now sidelined with an undisclosed injury. Miller and RB Devin Neal (hamstring) both returned this week, though. Beat reporter Jeff Nowak notes that Miller, Neal and RB Ty Chandler were all allowed to rotate in for first-team reps today, as coach Kellen Moore presumably seeks out a viable primary backup for starting RB Travis Etienne. Per Nowak, Miller “looks sharp despite the time missed.” This is worth tracking for short-term bench stash purposes.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Colts TE Tyler Warren (groin) “is going to be ready for” Week 1 against the Ravens.

Rapoport believes Warren will resume practicing in “a week or so.” He also expects “Warren’s role to grow” in his second NFL season. That makes sense. Warren’s 106 targets trailed only WR Michael Pittman’s 110. Pittman left Indy to join the Steelers this offseason, clearing the way for Warren to be the team’s top target earner. The soft-tissue injury adds some risk to Warren’s profile, but he should still be drafted as a mid-to-high TE1.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that Commanders RB Rachaad White’s hamstring injury is “not considered serious or long-term.”

Now we know why the Commanders’ receiving back has been absent at practice recently. White reportedly tweaked a hamstring during joint practices with the Dolphins last week. He worked out prior to Friday’s preseason game, but did not play. Garafolo adds that White has “excelled” in new OC David Blough’s offense during OTAs and training camp, though starting RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt has notably been praised for his pass-catching improvements recently.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that Ravens C Danny Pinter suffered a torn patellar tendon on Wednesday.

This is terribly unfortunate. We expect him to be placed on injured reserve soon, and we do not expect him to return until 2027. The Ravens brought in Pinter and C Ethan Pocic, who is coming off a season-ending Achilles tendon rupture, to compete for the starting center role after losing C Tyler Linderbaum in free agency to the Raiders. Pocic, 31, has been a reliable NFL starter since earning a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2017. He earned a 62.3 PFF pass-blocking grade and a 63.2 PFF run-blocking grade before injuring his Achilles in Week 14 last year.
