  • DEN Defensive Team

Broncos hired Don Martindale as linebackers coach and Ed Donatell as DBs coach, completing their defensive staff.
Martindale was briefly considered a head-coaching candidate in Oakland, but when team spokesman John Herrera publicly denied it Martindale moved on. The Raiders’ coaching staff is easily the thinnest in the league.
  • MIN Tight End #87

T.J. Hockenson (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday.
Hockenson missed Week 17 with the shoulder issue and looks likely to sit out of Minnesota’s season finale. Josh Oliver and Ben Sims each caught exactly one pass in his absence last week. There isn’t a fantasy tight end of note on the team if Hockenson is out for Week 18.
Can Nabers be counted on coming off knee injury?
Matthew Berry, Jay Croucher and Connor Rogers share if Trey McBride should be a first-round pick in fantasy next year, how Malik Nabers could play with Jaxson Dart and why Justin Jefferson can still be a weapon in 2026.
  • MIN Running Back #27
Jordan Mason (ankle) was limited in Wendesdays pracitce.
Aaron Jones was held out with a hip injury. Mason missed Week 17 because of his ankle injury but has a shot at returning for Week 18. He would likely split work with Zavier Scott if active. Jones would handle the carries with Scott pitching in on passing downs. Mason would be in the RB3 mix if Jones is out.
  • MIN Running Back #33
Aaron Jones (hip) did not practice Wednesday.
Jones played through an ankle injury last week despite the Vikings having nothing left to play for. He could do so again in week 18, though it’s just as likely that he finally takes a week off. In addition to the ankle and hip injuries, Jones has been on the practice report with shoulder, toe, and hamstring issues this year. He has more than earned a week of rest to close the season. If that does happen, Jordan Mason would be in line for a larger role.
  • NE Wide Receiver #3
Patriots WR DeMario Douglas (hamstring) is practicing fully for Week 18 against the Dolphins.
Douglas played through the hamstring injury without suffering a setback last week. He was only on the field for eight snaps, though. The Patriots currently hold the AFC’s No. 2 playoff seed, but could finish anywhere from the No. 1 seed to the No. 3 seed, depending on various outcomes. Expect them to have their healthy starters and rotational players on the field for as long as is needed.
  • GB Wide Receiver #13
Dontayvion Wicks (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.
Wicks suffered the concussion in Week 17 and did not return. With nothing to play for in Week 18, the Packers are expected to rest some starters. If even Wicks clears concussion protocol before Sunday, he will likely get the week off.
  • NE Wide Receiver #9
Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte (concussion) was limited on Wednesday.
Good news. Boutte resumed practicing in a limited capacity, while wearing a red non-contact jersey on Wednesday. He still has a few hurdles to clear before being cleared for game-day action, but this is a step in the right direction. The Patriots face the Dolphins in Week 18.
  • GB Running Back #8
Packers RB Josh Jacobs (knee/ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Jacobs has been playing through the knee and ankle issues for a while. If Week 18 meant anything to Green Bay, he would be playing. The Packers, however, are locked in as the No. 7 seed already. With nothing to play for, they are expected to rest some starters ahead of the Wild Card Round. We suspect Jacobs will get the week off.
  • DEN Wide Receiver #13
Broncos WR Pat Bryant (concussion) returned to practice Wednesday.
Bryant suffered a scary concussion in the Broncos’ Week 16 loss to the Jaguars. He missed last week’s game but has a shot at returning for Week 18 against the Chargers. Denver needs a win to secure the No. 1 seed. Bryant would be a deep cut DFS option if he clears concussion protocol in time.
  • DET Tight End #87
Lions head coach Dan Campbell “hopes” that TE Sam LaPorta (back) will be ready for training camp.
Campbell said LaPorta is “improving but yet, he’s not completely healed.” He would “like to believe” that LaPorta will be good to go for training camp, “but you’re talking about a back.” This is unfortunate. The talented, young tight end underwent surgery to correct the issue in November. We will continue providing updates on the matter throughout the offseason. Stay tuned.
  • TB Cornerback #35
Buccaneers CB Jamel Dean (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday.
The Buccaneers’ No. 1 cornerback is now on the wrong side of questionable for his team’s Week 18 game against the Panthers. The Buccaneers (7-9) and Panthers (8-8) are playing for the NFC South title and a postseason appearance.
