Vokolek (6'6/235) came through with a 27-yard touchdown grab in the first quarter to put Rutgers out to an early 7-0 lead. Alas, the Scarlet Knights would later be unable to hold onto a fourth-quarter lead, with the loss dropping them to a dreadful 1-11 for the season. While he impressed during spring practice, the sophomore tight end was unable to make any sort of a true difference over the course of the campaign. He finishes up having caught 16 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Vokolek will be back to try for a breakout campaign next fall.

This is unfortunate. Snowden was an effective rotational pass rusher for the Raiders last season. The Cowboys signed him in June. He was suspended for three games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy in July. The Cowboys put an injury designation on his release. Perhaps he will be brought back at some point. They correspondingly signed OT Sebastian Gutierrez.

Phew. Nolen suffered a surgery-worthy meniscus injury in his left knee last season, ending his rookie campaign prematurely. Nolen left practice early last Friday and appeared to be in considerable pain, indicating to team trainers that something was wrong with his left knee. Apparently, this is more so a mental hurdle than anything else. Speaking to the media before practice, LaFleur explained that sometimes when a player is returning from a serious injury, discomfort can, understandably, cause a scare. The Cardinals’ promising youngster will take the practice field with his teammates this afternoon.

Per Popper, the Chargers really like Mitchell’s ability to “press the edge and get explosives to the outside.” That said, Popper believes Vidal will “give Mitchell a push” for the role. He also believes that both players will make the final roster, regardless. If this is how the depth chart shakes out, one wonders whether Vidal could sneak onto the field in certain passing situations, potentially reducing Mitchell’s standalone viability. Mitchell was seen working in the passing game last week, though, so it is too early to tell.

McVay adds that there is “nothing to worry about,” although Garrett will also sit out on Monday. McVay expects Garrett to resume practicing in time for the Rams’ next practice block. They have a scheduled day off on Tuesday, before returning for a two-day slate on Wednesday and Thursday, which are the last two training camp practices that Rams fans can purchase tickets to. We should have an update by Wednesday at the latest.

Jenkins intercepted one pass and totaled 27 solo tackles and one TFL last year. The Steelers correspondingly released S Darnell Savage despite signing him in March.

Saunders notched one sack with the Jets late last year. The Titans also signed OL Laki Tasi, formerly of the Raiders, and waived S Hudson Clark, DE David Ebuka Agoha and DT Cam Horsley.

This is unfortunate. The Patriots drafted Polk in the 2024 NFL Draft’s second round with the No. 37 overall pick after a successful college career at Washington. He caught just 12-of-31 targets for 87 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie. He underwent two shoulder surgeries the following offseason and was sidelined for the entire 2025 season. The Patriots traded him to the Saints in a September pick swap that year. Today, the Saints placed him on the reserve/retired list. New Orleans Football’s Mike Triplett reports that Polk had participated all offseason, but was surprisingly absent last Friday. Here’s hoping Polk, 24, enjoys good health in retirement.

Clowney totaled 8.5 sacks, 40 quarterback pressures, 26 solo tackles and six TFLs with the Cowboys last year. The signing reunites Clowney, 33, with the team that drafted him No. 1 overall in 2014. He played with them through 2018 before bouncing around the league on one- and two-year deals. He remains a very effective player, having posted a career-best 16.8 percent pass-rush win rate just last year. Clowney’s deal reportedly includes a $5.5 million base salary. He can make up to $8 million.

Popper believes McConkey’s “versatile skill set” will allow him to function as new OC Mike McDaniel’s passing game “focal point.” McDaniel antagonized defensive coordinators during his time as the Dolphins’ head coach by moving WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle around via pre-snap motion. Popper believes McConkey’s 4.39-second 40 speed, shiftiness, hands, route running and post-catch abilities qualify him to serve as McDaniel’s “move piece.” McConkey’s Year 2 flop lurks in the background, but if his mid-tier WR2 best ball ADP carries over to re-draft leagues later this month — or even drops — that could end up looking like quite a bargain at the end of the year.

The Texans released Edwards, 32, back in March. If he can make the final roster, it will be his third straight season in Houston. He notched two sacks and 14 quarterback pressures last year before suffering a season-ending pectoral injury in December. The Texans correspondingly waived OT Derrick Graham and RB Evan Hull.
