NFL Media’s Lance Zierlein believes that Georgia Southern CB Kindle Vildor fits best in man-cover defenses.
Vildor had a decent week at the combine, running a 4.44 second 40-yard dash on his second attempt and showing a 39.5-inch vertical in Indianapolis. Zierlein writes that “Vildor possesses good athletic ability with the man cover talent to stay near his target.” The 5-foot-10, 191-pound cornerback does not have as good of tape in zone-coverage in the analysts’ eyes, however, and he has some concerns about Vildor helping in run support. Ultimately, Zierlein believes that Vildor has a chance to be a fourth or fifth cornerback on a team that plays a man-cover scheme.
