Ole Miss sophomore John Rhys Plumlee has officially moved from quarterback to wide receiver.
With Matt Corral firmly entrenched as the starting quarterback, there were two options available to Plumlee (6'0/200). One was to remain with the quarterbacks, backing up Corral, with the other being a full-time move to wide receiver. On Monday, HC Lane Kiffin stated that the sophomore is now a wide receiver, which will give him a quicker path to consistent playing time. Plumlee caught five passes for 73 yards during Ole Miss’ bowl win over Indiana.
