Florida signed 2022 three-star G Jalen Farmer.
Farmer (6'5/325) has been committed to the Gators since September 2021, but reports from G. Allan Taylor of The Athletic are that both Alabama and Kentucky made late pushes for the three-star prospects services before he finally signed his letter of intent with the Gators. Farmer had visited Alabama just days before national signing day, which likely made their late push that much stronger, but ultimately Florida head coach Billy Napier got his guy. A native of Covington, Georgia, Farmer is the 31st ranked guard of the 2022 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings and is the 688th ranked player in the class overall. He played on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball for Eastside High School, but is expected to play on the interior offensive line for Florida once he gets to campus. Farmer had also received offers from Auburn, Kentucky, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State and Kentucky.
