Iowa received a verbal commitment from five-star 2023 OT Kadyn Proctor.
The commitment of Proctor (6'8/330) to the Hawkeyes is a monumental move for head coach Kirk Ferentz and the program. The No. 2 ranked OT recruit in the country has opted to stay home and play for his hometown Hawkeyes, becoming the seventh in-state recruit of the 2023 class to commit to the program. Proctor brings enormous size to the OT position and is expected to spend most of his time on the left side of the line. The three-sport athlete also participates in basketball, along with track and field, and placed fifth as a junior at the Iowa State Track and Field Championship in May 2022. Prior to committing to Iowa, Proctor had also received offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Florida, State, Georiga, and several other big-name programs. 247Sports.com’s Allen Trieu has already comped him to NFL star LT Trent Williams.
