The Panthers have a 1-3 start under Rhule, who is facing three straight losing seasons, and are 11-26 since hiring Rhule in 2020. Another loss to the 49ers in Week 5 could add fuel to Rhule’s already hot seat. Firing Rhule in-season would give Carolina an early start at finding his replacement amid rumors the team plans to make a run at Sean Payton in 2023. Ex-Cardinals coach Steve Wilks would likely serve as the interim coach if Rhule is fired. The Panthers have been the league’s worst offense through the first four weeks, ranking last in the NFL in third-down percentage (26%) and total yards per game (263).

Barmore missed nearly all of last season due to blood clots he was diagnosed with during the summer. He returned for a brief four-game stint but was shut down for the year due to recurring symptoms from the issue. Barmore signed a four-year, $83 million contract last season and is under contract with the Patriots through the 2028 season. He totaled a career best 64 tackles and 8.5 sacks during the 2023 campaign, and is hoping to return to form now that his health issues appear to be behind him.

According to Fowler, one of the teams Henderson is scheduled to meet with is the Bengals, who could be eyeing a back to pair with Chase Brown. Brown saw a 31 percent opportunity share last season but handled 35 percent of the Bengals’ opportunities in Weeks 4 through 18. He turned in a productive rushing line (229-990-7) while also catching 54 passes for 360 yards and four touchdowns, but the Bengals undoubtedly want another back they can count on after the Khalil Herbert experiment fell short and Zack Moss left much to be desired in his first season with the team. Henderson rushed for 3,761 yards and 42 touchdowns while at Ohio State and ran for 183-1,248-15 as a true freshman in 2021. He’s one of several talented backs who could immediately help a backfield once the draft concludes at the end of the month.

Anderson joined the Steelers on a one-year contract last offseason but only appeared in four regular season games due to an injury. The former UDFA has appeared in 50 games over his career, making 14 starts while playing primarily at left tackle. Anderson did not start for the Steelers in his four appearances last season and will likely serve as added depth along the line on his new deal.

Milroe boasts legitimate 4.3 speed and a decent arm. Accuracy has long been a question for the Alabama product, but his ability to make plays with his feet makes it easy to see why teams would be enamored with the talent. Milroe also met with the Jets and Steelers. All in all, this gives us four teams who may not have their quarterback situation figured out beyond the 2025 season, which could create an opening for Milroe to be drafted as their QB of the future with a late Day 1 or early Day 2 pick. Milroe threw for 2,844-16-11 in his final season at Alabama while adding another 726 yards and 20 scores on the ground.

The Cowboys are in need of a viable WR2 opposite CeeDee Lamb, while the Packers are simply looking for a true WR1 to pair with their slew of productive receivers. Egbuka is a fourth-year prospect who broke out in 2022 to the tune of 74-1,151-10. Injuries limited him to 10 games in 2023, and he saw his production dip as a result, but he closed out his career with 81 catches for 1,011 yards and 10 touchdowns. At 6-foot-1 and 202 pounds, Egbuka has the size to play on the outside but played 73 percent of his snaps from the slot. He’d make for a solid addition to either team, but with Jayden Reed heavily occupying the slot in Green Bay, it’s hard to know how Egbuka would factor into the Packers’ offense if they selected him.

This doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The former No. 1 overall pick from the 2022 NFL Draft has totaled 10 or more sacks in each of his last two seasons and has 24 sacks to his name overall. Walker has shown continued development as a premier pass rusher in the league and has ranked 22nd or higher amongst EDGE rushers in quarterback pressures in 2023 and 2024, per PFF. He’ll now be under contract through the 2026 season, but it wouldn’t be surprising if we saw him sign a long-term extension before entering his contract year.

Those holding dynasty stock in Tyrone Tracy may want to look away. Stapleton believes the Giants will be “taking advantage of the depth of talent” at the position in this year’s draft, which could create immediate competition for Tracy, who rushed for 192-839-5 as a rookie while adding another 38-284-1 through the air. The second-year back was taken in the fifth round of last year’s draft and didn’t take long to cement himself as the Giants’ top back, finishing the year with a 25 percent opportunity share while leading all Giants backs with 246 opportunities. Running back Devin Singletary remains on the team after signing a three-year, $16.5 million contract last season, but he’s not expected to make much of an impact next season. Ideally, any interest the Giants may have in a rookie running back will be as added depth behind Tracy, but he will be 27 when his rookie contract expires. Adding a talented back who is several years younger could make a lot of sense in the long term.

According to Schefter, based on things people told him, the Browns were “likely to go quarterback,” but only if Miami’s Cam Ward was available. Schefter then adds that Ward “isn’t gonna be there at No. 2,” hinting that the former Hurricane will be selected by the Titans with the No. 1 pick in the coming weeks. It’s worth noting that this is nothing more than speculation, but it’s speculation from one of the most plugged-in guys in the league, who also believes the Browns value Hunter’s ability as a receiver more than his ability on defense. Regardless of where he’s taken, there’s little doubt that Hunter is the most talented player in the draft. If he does go to the Browns, they’ll be adding an impact player who should make his presence felt on both sides of the ball, even if the team deploys him more as an offensive player.

ESPN’s Mike Reiss was the first to report the move. The former Patriots wide receiver is reportedly joining the team as a personnel analyst but had worked as a receivers coach for the 49ers (2019-2021) and most recently with the Dolphins (2022-2024). Welker’s familiarity with GM Adam Peters and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury likely played a role in the move and gives Welker a chance to expand his resumé as a coach/front office member.

The Raiders won’t be using the No. 6 overall pick on Ewers, but it’s easy to envision them using their No. 37 overall pick on the Texas product on Day 2 of the draft in hopes of developing him into a franchise QB in the coming years. Ewers was the No. 1 prospect in the nation when he enrolled at Ohio State in 2021 and moved on to Texas ahead of the 2022 season. In his three seasons with the Longhorns, Ewers threw for 9,128-68-24 while completing 64.9 percent of his passes. With Geno Smith already under contract for the next three seasons, Ewers would have plenty of time to sit and learn the pro game before taking the reins in his second or third season.
