    Packers waived RB Kylin Hill.
He had come off reserve/PUP recently, but Hill had just nine total snaps between offense and special teams in Weeks 9 and 10. He did show some exciting tape in his rookie season before tearing his ACL, and could be an interesting waiver claim for a team that needs depth options.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught 3-of-5 targets for 26 yards in the Steelers’ Wildcard loss to the Texans.
Following Aaron Rodgers to Pittsburgh after a cacophony of whispers in Mike Tomlin’s ears and a failed second-year leap from Roman Wilson, Valdes-Scantling’s season ends with just 14 catches for 120 yards and one touchdown in split time between the 49ers and Steelers. It is difficult to imagine him sticking on an NFL roster with Rodgers expected to retire considering a myriad of mental errors on the field in 2025, regardless of his blocking ability or veteran status.
How Kittle's absence will change 49ers' offense
Following George Kittle's "brutal" Achilles injury in the Wild Card Round, Patrick Daugherty and Kyle Dvorchak explain why San Francisco will rely on Christian McCaffrey and Jake Tonges even more.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #4
DK Metcalf caught 2-of-5 targets for 42 yards in the Steelers’ Wildcard loss to the Texans.
The offseason move from the Seahawks to the Steelers proved unfruitful for the seven-year veteran receiver, who notched the fewest receptions (59) since his rookie season (58) and returned the lowest yardage output of his career (850). We’re not sure what we expected as the WR1 in an Arthur Smith offense that ranked third in the league in snaps with multiple tight ends on the field in 2025, but his inflated offseason ADP now looks silly in hindsight. Not only that, but the future of the franchise appears murky with quarterback Aaron Rodgers expected to retire and head coach Mike Tomlin potentially on the hot seat after losing seven straight postseason appearances, leaving Metcalf in fantasy limbo as the Steelers head to their offseason.
  • PIT Running Back #14
Kenneth Gainwell rushed six times for 20 yards in the Steelers’ Wildcard loss to the Texans, adding 26 yards on four receptions.
Gainwell enjoyed an increased role in Pittsburgh in 2025 as the primary change of pace and clear passing down option behind starter Jaylen Warren, handily setting career highs in rushing yards (537), total touchdowns (eight), receptions (73), and receiving yards (486), marking the first time in his career where he amassed more than 1,000 yards form scrimmage. He also handily returned value at a depressed ADP in fantasy drafts this offseason although his 2026 fantasy outlook remains murky after playing the 2025 season on a one-year, prove-it deal with the Steelers.
  • PIT Running Back #30
Jaylen Warren rushed 12 times for 43 yards in the Steelers’ Wildcard loss to the Texans.
The scrappy former change of pace back was thrust into a featured role this season after rookie Kaleb Johnson failed to pan out, ending the regular season with 958 yards and six touchdowns on 211 carries while adding 333 yards and two touchdowns on 40 receptions. The four-year veteran has missed only four games in his career and recently signed a two-year contract extension tying him to the team through the 2027 season, making it likely we see him hold fantasy value through the offseason as the likely starter in the backfield next year. That said, quarterback Aaron Rodgers appears likely to retire following his 21st season and head coach Mike Tomlin could be on the hot seat this offseason after seven straight playoff losses, meaning it could be an entirely new situation for Warren in the coming year.
  • PIT Quarterback #8
Aaron Rodgers completed 17-of-33 passes for 146 yards and one interception in the Steelers’ 30-6, Wildcard loss to the Texans.
The curtain call season from the veteran signal caller was far from pretty but he still managed to get the team into the postseason, a run that ended with a pitiful offensive showing against the league’s top defense. The Steelers went just 2-for-14 on third down and gained only 175 yards of total offense. Even so, the Steelers entered the fourth quarter down by only one point as their defense generated three turnovers to keep the team in the game. Rodgers is uncertain about his future (what’s new?) but has continued to hint that this would be his final season in the league. His 21-year professional career could be over after amassing 66,274 yards, 527 touchdowns, and a 1.4% interception rate. The yards and touchdowns each rank in the top five in NFL history while his interception rate goes down as an NFL record. It certainly appears likely that the final pass attempt of Rodgers’ career will go down as a pick-six during Pittsburgh’s seventh straight playoff loss.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #12
Texans WR Nico Collins (head) was carted to the locker room at the end of the third quarter in the team’s Wildcard game against the Steelers.
Collins was unable to brace himself as he went to the ground on a catch attempt at the end of the third quarter, appearing to contact the frozen ground with the forehead area of his helmet. Clearly disoriented following the play, Collins had to be redirected towards the sideline after attempting to rejoin the huddle. He would then be seen hunched over on the sideline before even making it into the medical tent. Collins was eventually carted to the locker room with a towel over his head for further evaluation. It certainly appears as if his night is over after catching just 3-of-7 targets for 21 yards.
  • SEA Tight End #18
Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald said TE Elijah Arroyo (knee) has a chance to play in the Divisional Round against the 49ers.
Speaking to media Monday evening, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters that rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo “looked good” in his return to practice last week, his first time on the field since seeing his 21-day practice window opened as he attempts to return from injured reserve. Macdonald added that there is a chance Arroyo makes it back in time for their Divisional Round game against the 49ers after the team enjoyed a bye week following securing the No. 1 seed out of the NFC. While not necessarily likely to contribute elite counting stats, Arroyo could return to 40-50% of the team’s offensive snaps as a pass-catching specialist.

  • PIT Running Back #20
Steelers declared WR Roman Wilson, RB Kaleb Johnson, OL Jack Driscoll, DL Logan Lee, OLB Jeremiah Moon, and CB Tre Flowers inactive for their Wildcard game against the Texans.
A pair of rookies draw inactivity as both Wilson and Johnson are not active for the team’s Wildcard game against the Texans. The Steelers aim to avoid a one-and-done after backing into the postseason in Week 18.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #17
Texans declared WR Braxton Berrios, QB Graham Mertz, LB Christian Harris, G Juice Scruggs, RB Jawhar Jordan, and CB Alijah Huzzie inactive for their Wildcard game against the Steelers.
Jordan’s absence likely brings veteran Nick Chubb back into the fold in the backfield pecking order, although rookie Woody Marks appears to be in line for a hefty workload against the Steelers. There are no real surprises with the remainder of the inactives list out of Houston as they look to topple the Steelers on the road in the first week of the postseason.
  • GB Kicker #35
Packers signed K Lucas Havrisik, OT Brant Banks, DL Dante Barnett, OG Karsen Barnhart, DL Anthony Campbell, TE McCallan Castles, OT Dalton Cooper, TE Drake Dabney, DL James Ester, CB Tyron Herring, LB Jamon Johnson, RB Damien Martinez, S Mark Perry, WR Will Sheppard, RB Pierre Strong Jr. and TE Messiah Swinson to reserve/futures contracts.
Havrisik hit 4-of-4 field goals and 7-of-9 extra points this year, and the Packers seemed to be developing him as kicker of the future — whatever that means in the NFL — while letting him stay on the practice squad. With Brandon McManus’ job officially under scrutiny, it’s possible he eventually gets the Packers kicker gig.
