Baker Mayfield described rookie WR Jalen McMillan as an “explosive, smooth route runner.”
Mike Evans and Trey Palmer have been sidelined, giving McMillan more reps with the first-team during the offseason program. McMillan caught all three targets from Mayfield on Wednesday, including Mayfield’s first pass of the day and a touchdown during red zone drills. The quarterback complimented McMillan for being “friendly at the top of his routes, attack[ing] the ball [and] catch[ing] with his hands.” The front office spent a third-round pick on McMillan after a sub-500-yard rookie season from Palmer, a 2023 sixth-round pick. Recurring MCL sprains hampered McMillan’s 2023 college season, but he notably led the Huskies in 2022 targets (118) and receptions (79) as the team’s starting slot receiver, edging out 2024 first-round WR Rome Odunze, who caught 75 of his 110 targets. McMillan has a chance to unseat Palmer for the No. 3 role.
  • NO Tackle #71

Ryan Ramczyk retired after eight seasons in the NFL.
Ramczyk served as a stalwart member of the Saints’ offensive line from 2017-2023, battling through deteriorating cartilage in his knee. He was sidelined by the issue for the full 2024 season. Ramczyk’s NFL accolades include a spot on the 2017 PFWA All-Rookie Team, two second-team All-Pro nods (2018 and 2020) and one first-team All-Pro (2019) spot.
  • NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Minnesota OT Aireontae Ersery is a player that “teams like a lot more than the media knows.”
Rapoport suggests that Ersery could make his way into the late first round, connecting him with the tackle-needy Chiefs. Ersery performed more consistently as a run-blocker than as a blindside pass protector over the last two seasons, but notably allowed just a 3.0 percent quarterback pressure rate last year, the 10th-lowest among Power Five left tackles with at least 400 pass-protection snaps.
  • CHI Cornerback #6
Bears DC Dennis Allen said he wants slot CB Kyler Gordon to learn a second position, either on the perimeter or at safety.
The Bears’ previous coaching staff spent two seasons trying this experiment before allowing Gordon to blossom in a full-time slot- and box-coverage role last season. Perhaps, Allen can succeed where others have failed. His intent is to “find some more playing time” for Gordon, which is understandable given Gordon’s significant on-field impact last year.
  • BUF Cornerback #25
Bills signed CB Tre’Davious White, formerly of the Ravens, to a one-year contract.
Tom Pelissero reports the contract is worth “up to” $6.8 million. White, now 30 years old, returns to the team that drafted him in the 2017 NFL Draft’s first round. White was a force to be reckoned with early in his career, but a 2021 ACL tear and a 2023 Achilles tendon rupture have reduced his play quality. He finished 2024 with a career-low 54.8 PFF coverage grade. White will now compete for the Bills’ No. 2 perimeter role.
  • CLE General Manager
GM Andrew Berry said that “all options are on the board” for the Browns’ No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Though Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter and Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter are certainly in play here, per the Akron Beacon Journal’s Chris Easterling, the Browns have notably “conducted private workouts and dinners with five quarterbacks,” including Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders. It stands to reason that the Browns will at least add one rookie quarterback to compete with Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett, though whether that player arrives via the No. 2 pick remains to be seen.
  • FA Tight End
    Bills waived TE Armani Rogers.
This is unfortunate. Rogers recently ruptured his Achilles tendon for the second time in three years. He showed promise as a 2022 rookie, earning a 65.3 PFF receiving grade and a 68.0 PFF run-blocking grade, but the injuries are taking their toll. The Bills also released DT Branson Deen.
  • NYG General Manager
SNY’s Connor Hughes said that drafting the best player available with the No. 3 overall pick “seems to be the direction” that the Giants are heading.
Hughes acknowledged that the Giants have a “desperate need for a franchise quarterback,” but GM Joe Schoen reportedly said that he “will not force the issue” by drafting a quarterback they deem unworthy of the No. 3 overall pick. Hughes described Schoen as “giddy” when discussing the possibility of drafting Colorado CB/WR Travis Hunter. Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders and Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter are still in play, though Hughes called Sanders a “reach” at the No. 3 spot.
  • Titans waived OT Nicholas Petit-Frere.
The team signed C Sam Mustipher and OT Oli Udoh in corresponding moves. Petit-Frere failed to meet expectations after the Titans spent a third-round pick on him in 2022, allowing 35 or more quarterback pressures in 2-of-3 NFL seasons.
  • DEN Head Coach
Head coach Sean Payton told reporters that “there will be [a] focus on the running back position” in the Broncos’ plans for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Payton explained that drafting a running back in the first round can be worth it if teams “have a real clear vision for how you want to use them,” citing Reggie Bush and Mark Ingram as successful examples from his Saints tenure. Broncos GM George Paton echoed the sentiment, saying he is open to the idea if the player is worth it, and indicated that the team is searching for a prospect with certain developable pass-protection traits. North Carolina RB Omarion Hampton has seemingly leapfrogged Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson for the class’ consensus No. 2 RB ranking but Henderson’s pass-pro chops could give him an edge here. Among P5 RBs with at least 175 qualifying snaps over the last four seasons, his 70.1 PFF pass-blocking grade ranks fourth overall.
  • DAL Tackle #74
Cowboys signed OL Hakeem Adeniji, formerly of the Browns.
The former 2020 sixth-round pick last took regular season snaps in 2022. Adeniji spent the 2023 season serving as a part-time special teamer, and although he was technically on the Browns’ 2024 roster, he missed the full season on injured reserve. Adeniji will likely compete for a roster spot in Dallas this year.
