NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Terron Armstead will take a pay cut to the league minimum while he decides if he wants to play in 2025.

In other words, Armstead was set to make $28.6 million, and now has gifted roughly half of that to the Dolphins in cap space by cutting his salary down. Armstead, who turns 34 in July, has been a warrior in playing through frequent injuries with the Dolphins the past three years. Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel told reporters earlier today at the NFL Combine that the team is “operating as though we’re moving on” from Armstead. Patrick Paul will be in line to start at left tackle if Armstead hangs it up.

Raiders coach Klint Kubiak said Ashton Jeanty (foot/ankle) is questionable for Las Vegas’ Week 5 game against the Patriots.

Saquon Barkley (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 5 against the Jaguars.

With Barkley ruled out and Tank Bigsby (core) on injured reserve, the Eagles will officially go with Will Shipley and Dameon Pierce as their top two backs. Shipley feels like a safe bet to serve as the team’s primary pass-catching back, but whether or not he sees the majority of rush attempts is to be determined. It wouldn’t be surprising if Pierce, who profiles as more of an early-down grinder than Shipley, leads the Eagles’ backfield in carries this week, but fantasy managers shouldn’t rush to add him to their lineups. Shipley will likely fall somewhere in the RB2 rankings this week, while Pierce is nothing more than a stash at the end of fantasy benches.

DeVonta Smith (hamstring) will not play in Philadelphia’s Week 5 game against the Jaguars.

Smith hasn’t looked anywhere close to playing since popping up on the injury report ahead of Week 5, not practicing a single session yet. His status for Week 6 remains murky at best. Makai Lemon and Dontyavion Wicks (if healthy) will get a targets boost in what looks to be a very thin offense at the moment.

Giants coach John Harbaugh said Malik Nabers (knee) will be “ready to play” on Sunday.

It was presumed that Nabers would play after sitting out Wednesday with soreness in his surgically repaired knee. Though this is just our speculation, the Giants may take it easier on their star receiver this week after he hauled in 6/112/1 against the Cardinals in Week 4. He remains on the WR2 line in what has been (when not facing the Cardinals) a rough offense with Jameis Winston under center.

Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said Tyler Huntley will start in Week 5 against the Falcons.

Huntley figures to be a low-end superflex QB2 in Week 5, probably a bottom-five option for the week given how well the Falcons defense has played and how weak the Ravens skill position room looks. He led the team to zero points in the second half last week against the Titans.

Ravens DL Trey Hendrickson (finger surgery) won’t play in Baltimore’s Week 5 game against the Falcons.

He didn’t practice this week after undergoing surgery late last week, and remains a question mark for Week 6. In theory this shouldn’t cost him too much time, but we don’t have enough details to say that for sure.

Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said Lamar Jackson (ankle) will not play in Week 5 against the Falcons.

Many thanks to Minter for ruling Jackson out now rather than forcing fantasy managers to navigate a questionable designation all weekend. Jackson did not practice at all this week for the Ravens and felt like a near lock to miss this week’s game after it was reported on Tuesday that he had an “outside chance” to play on Sunday night against the Falcons. Minter said earlier in the week that he did not think Jackson’s injury would result in a “crazy long-term” absence, so we’ll see how things go for him next week when the Ravens prepare to face the AFC North-leading Browns in Week 6.

Cam Skattebo (shoulder) will play in Week 5 against the Commanders.

Skattebo was limited in Wednesday and Thursday’s practices but will be good to go in what he called a “slogfest” on Sunday against the Commanders. With rain and wind forecast for Sunday’s game, the Giants will likely lean heavily on Skattebo, who has rushed for 68-235-1 this season while averaging a subpar 3.5 YPC. Skattebo profiles as a volume-based RB2 against a defense that has been stout against the run out of the gate.

Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez will not play in New England’s Week 5 game against the Raiders.

He has not practiced or played since Week 3. Nothing we’ve seen has suggested he’ll be a Saturday IR candidate, but it also wouldn’t necessarily be surprising if that happened. The Pats also ruled out fellow starting CB Carlton Davis (neck) for Week 5, leaving non-existent Raiders receivers with matchup upgrades. (Cody White is about to touch the end zone paint again.)

Mack Hollins (calf) will not play in New England’s Week 5 game against the Raiders.

It sounds like Efton Chism, Kyle Williams, and Demario Douglas will all work more than usual next to Romeo Doubs in Week 5. Chism might be the most interesting FLEX play of the three after putting up 2/42/1 in relief of Hollins against the Patriots, though all of them have cases.
