Jordan Love said he wants to run more in 2025.
Love talked specifically about taking fewer check-downs and looking for open running lanes more often. He also noted the impact his various injuries had on his ability to scramble last year. As The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman points out, offensive coordinator Adam Stenovich echoed this sentiment when asked last week about Love running more. Stenovich told reporters, “Absolutely, that’s a huge weapon and Jordan has that ability to make some big plays down the field.” For comparison, Love averaged 14.5 yards per game in 2023 and scored four rushing touchdowns. Those totals plummeted to 5.5 and one last year. Love scraped by as a low-volume QB2 last year. An increase in both passing and rushing output could put him back in the QB1 conversation this time around.
