Aaron Rodgers said the Steelers could get Jaylen Warren more involved in the team’s passing offense.
Warren in Week 2 against the Seahawks erupted for 86 yards on four receptions, thanks mostly to an incredible 65-yard catch and run in which he broke four tackles. Rodgers, for one, was impressed. “Jaylen is a great player,” Rodgers said after the team’s loss to Seattle. “That was an awesome catch and run. He brings a lot to the table. We might have to keep giving him more opportunities in the pass game, because every time he touches it, something good happens.” Kenneth Gainwell continues to be involved in the Steelers backfield, running 35 routes to 25 for Warren over two weeks. Rodgers, meanwhile, is checking down quite a bit, averaging a meager 5.7 air yards per attempt. The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo said “if Warren is going to continue to maximize his chances, especially in the passing game, the Steelers might reconsider that tactic.” Warren will be a top-15 fantasy option this week against New England.
