Justin Herbert completed 15-of-20 passes for 151 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the Chargers’ 31-14, Week 13 win over the Raiders, adding three rushes for eight yards.
Herbert injured his left ring finger on a red zone play during the Chargers’ first drive, but he stayed on the field and threw a touchdown pass to WR Quentin Johnston. Herbert then visited the locker room and returned partway through the Chargers’ second drive, eventually throwing an interception. The injury limited Herbert’s ability to take snaps under center, but he still played well overall. On the Chargers’ ninth drive, late in the fourth quarter, Herbert helped RB Kimani Vidal pick up an extra five yards by briefly throwing a one-armed block on a Raiders defensive back. We do not expect him to miss any time with the finger injury moving forward. Herbert is low-end QB1 with a tough matchup against the Eagles next week.
