  • IND Cornerback #1

NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports Colts CB Sauce Gardner “suffered what’s described as a mild calf strain” in Week 13’s loss to the Texans.
According to Schultz, Gardner is seeking a second opinion on the matter, but if all comes back as expected, the star corner is likely to miss only a few weeks. It’s about as good of news as Gardner and the Colts could have hoped for after Gardner was unable to put any weight on his leg when being helped to the sideline after going down. We’ll hopefully have an update on Gardner’s status and how much time he could miss early in the week.
  • CHI Tight End #85

Cole Kmet (ankle/knee) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Kmet was limited yesterday as well. We fully expected him to suit up for Saturday’s game versus the Packers. With Rome Odunze and Luther Burden likely to miss Week 16, expect a heavy dose of 12-personnel from Chicago’s offense. That will keep Kmet on the edge of the TE2 ranks this week.
Dolphins rookie QB Ewers 'a downgrade' from Tua
Kyle Dvorchak breaks down the Dolphins' quarterback situation after Tua Tagovailoa was benched in favor of rookie Quinn Ewers and how the switch will affect Miami's offense.
  • CHI Running Back #4
D’Andre Swift (groin) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Swift was not on the injury report yesterday. The veteran runner has been dealing with the groin issue for a while. He appeared to be over it in recent weeks, but a mid-week addition now puts him at risk of missing Saturday’s game. Kyle Monangai would be in line for a massive workload and an RB1 ranking if Swift cannot suit up.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #15
Rome Odunze (foot) did not practice Wednesday.
Bears head coach Ben Johnson said “all options are on the table” when talking about possibly shutting Odunze down earlier in the week. While we do expect to see him again at some point this year, that won’t happen in Week 16. With Luther Burden also banged up, D.J. Moore will run as the team’s top wideout versus the Packers.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #10
Luther Burden (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.
Rome Odunze also remained out of practice on Wednesday. Odunze was always likely to miss Week 16 after being a late scratch on Sunday. Burden, on the other hand, could’ve had a more optimistic outlook if he returned to practice today. Instead, he is now likely to join Odunze on the bench this week. D.J. Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus will serve as the team’s top wideouts this week. Moore will sit on the WR2/3 border while Zaccheaus is set for a WR4 ranking.
  • LV Quarterback #7
Raiders head coach Pete Carroll said there is a “good chance” that QB Geno Smith (shoulder/back) starts in Week 16 against the Texans.
Smith missed the Raiders’ Week 15 game against the Eagles, in which Las Vegas’ offense totaled 75 yards. Hopefully, Smith is feeling ready to play. He entered Week 15 with a foot injury, suffered abrasions on his throwing hand’s ring and pinky fingers, plus injured his throwing shoulder and back. The Texans’ elite pass rush will be a problem for him, if he is active.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #11
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports several executives believe “the Eagles could look to move” A.J. Brown in the offseason.
As Fowler notes, the Eagles would eat a $20 million cap hit if he is traded before June 1st. They would gain $7 million in cap space if he were moved after that date. Brown has made his discontent with the Philly offense public on many occasions this year and in previous seasons. His play has also dropped in 2025. He played 13 games in 2024 and just hit 13 this season. Brown had over 200 more yards on just three extra catches at this point last year. Whether or not a trade happens, you better believe it will be one of the biggest talking points of the offseason.
  • LAC Offensive Lineman #79
Chargers RT Trey Pipkins (ankle) resumed practicing on Wednesday.
This is good news for QB Justin Herbert (hand). The Chargers face the Cowboys this week. Dallas’ defensive line has improved its play, though it could be without DT Quinnen Williams (concussion). Hopefully, all three players heal up without issue. This should be a fantasy-friendly game environment, with two capable offenses squaring off.
  • PHI Tackle #65
Eagles RT Lane Johnson (foot) did not practice Wednesday.
Left guard Landon Dickerson (calf) was also held out of practices. That’s two DNPs to open the week for the pair of starting linemen. Both players can be considered on the wrong side of questionable for Week 16. With a winnable game versus Washington on tap, it could make sense for the Eagles to give their injured linemen the week off ahead of a Week 17 date with the Bills.
  • BUF Tight End #86
Dalton Kincaid (knee) did not practice Wednesday.
Kincaid has been playing through the knee issue for a few weeks and didn’t miss any practice time ahead of Week 15. A DNP today could be a sign that he suffered a setback on Sunday. The hope, however, is that it’s simply a maintenance day for Kincaid. Dawson Knox would be the next man up if Kincaid sits for Week 16.
  • CAR Wide Receiver #4
Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan (foot/ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.
This is unfortunate. The Panthers’ No. 1 wide receiver finished as the half-PPR WR23 and WR72 over the team’s last two games, while slot WR Jalen Coker notched WR14 and WR19 finishes. Panthers head coach Dave Canales said McMillan got “rolled up on” during a run play against the Saints last week. The plan is to hold McMillan out today and “try to get him back for tomorrow.” The Panthers (7-7) face the Buccaneers (7-7) on Sunday. The winner takes control of the NFC South.
