Allen surprisingly added just one catch for zero yards on four targets. Not ideal, though Allen’s rushing output nearly doubled his previous career high of 59. It was exactly what the Jets and fantasy managers needed during Breece Hall’s second straight absence with a quad injury. Allen contributed runs of 10, 17, 11 and 22 yards, with that final rush finding the end zone. He also had a 13-yarder called back by holding. In other words, he was both grinding out tough yards and providing longer gains. Isaiah Davis mixed in for only cursory breather back work. With Hall yet to resume practicing, Allen should have another plug-and-play RB2 setup in Week 6 against the Patriots.
