Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald said Zach Charbonnet (knee) is “not going to miss the whole year.”

Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL in the Seahawks’ divisional round win over the 49ers last postseason, and didn’t have surgery to repair the injury until February. While there were concerns that Charbonnet may miss all of 2026 due to the timing of his injury and the surgery Macdonald confirmed that he expects to have the fourth-year RB back at some point this season. In the meantime, the loss of Kenneth Walker, combined with Charbonnet’s injury, puts the Seahawks in a unique position at RB to start the year. The team did go out and add Emanuel Wilson via free agency earlier this month, but the Seahawks could be in play for a Day 2 rookie at the position to pair with Wilson, George Holani, and a slew of other backups until Charbonnet is able to return. Charbonnet rushed for a career-high 730 yards and 12 touchdowns last season with the Seahawks and will presumably serve as their RB1 once healthy, but he’s a near lock to open the season on the PUP list, and could miss extensive time to start the year.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports teams are “doing their due diligence” on Marvin Harrison Jr.

Schefter noted that the Cardinals aren’t “enthralled” with the idea of trading Harrison Jr. He also said point-blank that “it would not be a surprise” for MHJ to be traded. As much as the Cardinals may not want to admit it, this experiment needs to come to an end. The team has Michael Wilson and Trey McBride locked up on long-term contracts and MHJ has done nothing this year. He has four catches for 73 scoreless yards this year. At this point, it’s likely in the best interest of both sides for Harrison Jr. to find a new home.

Kyle Dvorchak unpacks Denzel Boston's recent performances and emphasizes that he's been the "biggest beneficiary," of the Cleveland Browns' success this season.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports “the hope is” that A.J. Brown (ankle) plays in Week 6.

Garfolo made it clear that this is what the team hopes will happen, but it’s far from a sure thing. Week 6 is the first week Brown is eligible to return from injured reserve. The Pats placed him on IR after he suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 1. Previous reports had Brown out for 6-8 weeks, so fantasy managers should be skeptical that he will be back for Week 6, but it’s at least on the table.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports Tanne McKee is the Eagles’ backup quarterback for Week 4 against the Rams.

The Eagles demoted Andy Dalton after his end zone interception in Week 3. He took over for Jalen Hurts while the latter was being evaluated for an injury and immediately gave the ball away in scoring position. McKee has two career starts since being drafted in 2023.

Marcus Mariota (knee) is questionable to return in Week 4 against the Colts.

Colts EDGE Laiatu Latu landed on Mariota’s right ankle while taking him down for a sack in the first quarter. Mariota was slow to get up and immediately made his way to the blue tent. He walked to the locker room after a brief stay in the tent. Seventh-round rookie Athan Kaliakmanis is under center for the Commanders.

NFL Network’s Mike Garfaolo reports DeVonta Smith (hamstring) is “at very best” questionable for Week 5 against the Jaguars.

Smith has already been ruled out for Week 4. The Eagles take on the Jags in London next week. It sounds like fantasy managers should be prepared to be without their start receiver for that contest as well. Dontayvion Wicks currently profiles as the team’s top wideout, but it’s hard to imagine the team not getting first-round rookie Makai Lemon more involved as well. Both players are solid FLEX options for Week 4.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Jadeveon Clowney (knee) is expected to play in Week 4 against the Cowboys.

Clowney hasn’t played since injuring his knee in Week 1. Though he isn’t expected to be a major factor in the Texans’ plans, Houston’s defense hasn’t been the shutdown unit that it was last year. They currently rank as a below-average team in EPA per play allowed. Clowney won’t change their fortunes overnight, but he will hopefully help them make incremental improvements.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Tyjae Spears (ankle) is expected to play in Week 4 against the Ravens.

Spears played through the ankle issue last week and there was no indication during this week’s practice that he suffered any sort of setback. He is good to go for Week 4, though fantasy managers can’t count on him for much. He touched the ball just three times last week.

Bears placed Braxton Jones (knee) on injured reserve.

Jones injured his knee and was considered “week to week” going forward. The good news is that this means it won’t be season-ending IR, but the Bears will be without their starting left tackle for at least four games. Theo Benedet will start in his place this week. Now healthy, Ozzy Trapilo could take over that job in the coming weeks as well.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Monroe Freeling (concussion) will play in Week 4 against the Lions.

The Panthers entered the season down both of their starting tackles. They will also be without left guard Damien Lewis this week. Getting Freeling back is a big win for Bryce Young and the offense. Freeling has struggled in pass protection so far but is serviceable in the run game.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Dre Greenlaw (quad) is expected to play in Week 4 against the Broncos.

The 49ers are already banged up on defense with Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams ruled out on Friday. Greenlaw was listed as questionable after getting in a single limited practice. He has 22 combined tackles, 11 defensive stops, and one pressure this year.
