The Avalanche power play continues to impress as they scored four times this week after scoring seven times last week. They have vaulted to the top of the scoring with the man-advantage as they are tied at 24 goals this season with Tampa Bay. They are tied for first with the Jets at 30.4 percent efficiency.

The foursome of Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen, Gabriel Landeskog and Tyson Barrie have combined for 12 goals and 27 assists.

The Jets top four of Patrik Laine, Mark Scheifele, Blake Wheeler and Dustin Byfuglien have 13 goals and 31 assists while the Lightning’s best, consisting of Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, J.T. Miller and Steven Stamkos have 15 goals and 22 assists.

That is quite a good start as the NHL is closing in on the first-third of the season.

ANAHEIM

Rickard Rakell: Five points in 69:47 minutes of power play time.

Adam Henrique: Four points in 65:42 of power play time.

Ryan Getzlaf: Four points in 56:23.

Cam Fowler: One point in 53:17.

Brandon Montour: Three points in 52:22.

Jakob Silfverberg: Four points in 48:41.

The Ducks were 2-11 on the man-advantage over the last week. They’re 11-71 on the power play this season. Ondrej Kase and Henrique scored with Montour, Silfverberg, Rakell and Josh Mahura picking up the helpers.

ARIZONA

Clayton Keller: Five points in 77:44 of power play time.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Five points in 77:18.

Derek Stepan: One point in 71:04.

Christian Fischer: Zero points in 51:01.

Alex Galchenyuk: Five points in 50:55.

Vinnie Hinostroza: Three points in 48:38.

The Coyotes were 2-10 this week and are 11-71 on the year. Stepan and Dylan Strome, who was dealt to Chicago Sunday, scored with Keller, Goligoski, Galchenyuk and Brendan Perlini picking up the assists.

BOSTON

David Pastrnak: 12 points in 79:15 of power play time.

Brad Marchand: Nine points in 70:38

Patrice Bergeron: 11 points in 67:12.

David Krejci: Seven points in 53:57.

Jake DeBrusk: Four points in 52:02.

Torey Krug: Five points in 48:24.

The Bruins were 1-7 and are 21-74 in 2018-19. John Moore scored with Krejci and David Backes setting him up.

BUFFALO

Jack Eichel: Seven points in 97:31 of power play time.

Sam Reinhart: Six points in 82:49.

Rasmus Ristolainen: Five points in 81:49.

Jeff Skinner: Eight points in 76:55.

Kyle Okposo: Four points in 70:50.

Rasmus Dahlin: Five points in 62:45.

The Sabres went 4-14 on the power play this week. Skinner scored twice with Tage Thompson and Evan Rodrigues also finding the back of the net. Dahlin had three assists, Eichel had a pair, while Reinhart, Ristolainen and Zach Bogosian each had one assist. They’re now 16-80 on the man-advantage this season.

CALGARY

Johnny Gaudreau: Nine points in 86:41 of power play time.

Sean Monahan: Seven points in 86:30.

Mark Giordano: Seven points in 85:09.

Elias Lindholm: Nine points in 84:02.

Matthew Tkachuk: Nine points in 76:09.

James Neal: One point in 55:05.

The Flames were 4-12 on the power play this week. Noah Hanifin had a goal and an assist. Tkachuk, Sam Bennett and Monahan scored with Gaudreau and Derek Ryan each had two assists. Giordano and James Neal each had an assist. They’re now 17-83 on the power play this season.

CAROLINA

Justin Faulk: Two points in 72:19 of power play time.

Sebastian Aho: Seven points in 70:47.

Justin Williams: Four points in 61:48.

Teuvo Teravainen: Six points in 60:06.

Micheal Ferland: Six points in 60:01.

Jordan Staal: One point in 58:17.

The Hurricanes are 14-78 this season after going 3-7 this week. Teravainen had a goal and an assist with Williams and Ferland also scoring. Dougie Hamilton, Lucas Wallmark and Aho had assists.

CHICAGO

Patrick Kane: Seven points in 82:24 of power play time.

Jonathan Toews: Four points in 72:11.

Alex DeBrincat: Two points in 62:38.

Nick Schmaltz: One point in 61:46.

Brent Seabrook: Four points in 56:12.

Duncan Keith: One point in 55:21.

The Blackhawks were 0-7 on the power play in the last week and are 9-71 this season.

COLORADO

Nathan MacKinnon: 12 points in 92:14 of power play time.

Mikko Rantanen: 11 points in 91:02.

Gabriel Landeskog: Nine points in 90:17.

Tyson Barrie: Seven points in 82:53.

Tyson Jost: Three points in 55:02.

Colin Wilson: Four points in 49:58.

The Avalanche went 4-13 on the man-advantage over the last week. MacKinnon had a goal and two assists with Landeskog picking up one of each. Wilson and Vladislav Kamenev also scored with Rantanen assisting on three goals. Carl Soderberg and Alexander Kerfoot also had assists. The Avs are now 24-79 on the power play in 2018-19.

COLUMBUS

Artemi Panarin: Four points in 74:01 of power play time.

Zach Werenski: Six points in 69:19.

Cam Atkinson: Six points in 66:32.

Nick Foligno: Two points in 65:54.

Pierre-Luc Dubois: Four points in 65:22.

Anthony Duclair: Four points in 54:59.

The Blue Jackets were 0-3 on the man-advantage last week and are 12-76 on the power play this season.

Tyler Seguin: Six points in 79:16 of power play time.

Jamie Benn: Five points in 70:54.

Jason Spezza: Five points in 68:48.

Alexander Radulov: Five points in 57:35.

John Klingberg: Six points in 47:51.

Miro Heiskanen: One point in 42:03.

The Stars managed to go 1-11 this week with the man-advantage. Spezza and Esa Lindell set up Seguin for the Stars lone goal. Dallas is 12-67 on the power play this season.

DETROIT

Dennis Cholowski: Six points in 50:04 of power play time.

Dylan Larkin: Four points in 48:57.

Andreas Athanasiou: Three points in 45:46.

Gustav Nyquist: Five points in 45:31.

Michael Rasmussen: Three points in 45:23.

Anthony Mantha: Two points in 44:35.

The Red Wings went 0-7 on the man-advantage over the last week. The Wings are 13-65 on the man-advantage this season.

EDMONTON

Connor McDavid: 12 points in 87:55 of power play time.

Oscar Klefbom: Four points in 86:37.

Leon Draisaitl: Nine points in 83:52.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Nine points in 82:45.

Milan Lucic: Three points in 63:17.

Alex Chiasson: Three points in 27:40.

The Oilers went 2-6 on the man-advantage this week. Chiasson scored once and assisted on another while Nugent-Hopkins also scored. McDavid assisted on both with Klefbom garnering the other assist. Edmonton is 16-74 on the power play this season.

FLORIDA

Aleksander Barkov: Six points in 82:48 of power play time.

Keith Yandle: 13 points in 82:23.

Evgenii Dadonov: Five points in 79:05.

Vincent Trocheck: Eight points in 73:39.

Jonathan Huberdeau: Nine points in 72:38.

Mike Hoffman: 10 points in 68:10.

The Panthers were 4-10 this week and are now 21-82. Barkov and Hoffman each had two goals with Yandle picking up assists on all four goals and Huberdeau assisting on three. Trocheck also had an assist but it will be his last one for a while as he suffered a serious fractured ankle.

LOS ANGELES

Drew Doughty: Eight points in 80:07 of power play time.

Anze Kopitar: Four points in 72:40.

Ilya Kovalchuk: Six points in 71:39.

Jeff Carter: Seven points in 69:40.

Tyler Toffoli: One point in 50:22.

Dustin Brown: Four points in 39:09.

The Kings went 3-12 on the power play this week and are now 11-72 on the power play in the season. Brown scored twice with Doughty scoring once and adding an assist. Carter and Kopitar each had two assists.

MINNESOTA

Ryan Suter: Six points in 69:39 of power play time.

Matt Dumba: Eight points in 67:45.

Mikko Koivu: Eight points in 65:56.

Zach Parise: Five points in 65:25.

Mikael Granlund: Seven points in 64:50.

Eric Staal: Four points in 62:51.

The Wild went 2-10 on the power play over the last week. Staal and Dumba scored with Granlund and Suter each assisting on both. Minnesota is 17-79 on the power play this season.

MONTREAL

Jonathan Drouin: Seven points in 94:54 of power play time.

Jeff Petry: Six points in 92:29.

Max Domi: Eight points in 85:33.

Brendan Gallagher: Three points in 85:17.

Tomas Tatar: Three points in 73:05.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi: Two points in 49:12.

The Canadiens went 3-13 last week and are 13-87 on the man-advantage this season. Andrew Shaw scored once an added an assist while Tatar and Petry each scored. Kenny Agostino had two assists with Domi, David Schlemko and Jesperi Kotkaniemi drawing one assist apiece.

NASHVILLE

Ryan Johansen: Six points in 87:24 of power play time.

Filip Forsberg: Five points in 84:14.

Roman Josi: Five points in 82:04.

Ryan Ellis: Two points in 75:04.

Craig Smith: Two points in 74:55.

Kyle Turris: Five points in 66:16.

The Predators were 4-14 last week and are 14-92 this season. Bonino, Austin Watson, Smith and Turris scored with Ekholm assisting on three. Kevin Fiala, Forsberg, Johansen, Josi and Calle Jarnkrok also drew assists.

NEW JERSEY

Taylor Hall: 10 points in 75:32 of power play time.

Kyle Palmieri: Nine points in 73:04.

Will Butcher: Six points in 71:53.

Nico Hischier: Five points in 66:21.

Sami Vatanen: Two points in 43:15.

Marcus Johansen: Two points in 42:03.

The Devils went 1-6 on the man-advantage this week. They are now 15-72 on the power play. Pavel Zacha scored with Brett Seney and Damon Severson picking up the assists.

NEW YORK ISLANDERS

Mathew Barzal: Nine points in 80:55 of power play time.

Nick Leddy: Three points in 75:38.

Josh Bailey: Eight points in 74:10.

Anders Lee: Seven points in 73:24.

Jordan Eberle: Four points in 67:37.

Ryan Pulock: One point in 46:52.

The Islanders went 0-5 on the power play last week. New York is now 12-70 on the power play this season.

NEW YORK RANGERS

Mika Zibanejad: Seven points in 73:35 of power play time.

Chris Kreider: Seven points in 68:26.

Kevin Shattenkirk: Two points in 61:48.

Kevin Hayes: Two points in 55:19.

Mats Zuccarello: Four points in 53:11.

Neal Pionk: 11 points in 49:43.

The Rangers were 1-10 this week and are now 15-77 this season. Pionk scored with Vladislav Namestnikov and Zibanejad drawing the assists.

OTTAWA

Thomas Chabot: Seven points in 74:54 of power play time.

Matt Duchene: Five points in 69:25.

Mark Stone: Eight points in 68:43.

Bobby Ryan: Seven points in 65:52.

Ryan Dzingel: Three points in 61:01.

Mikkel Boedker: Three points in 59:05.

The Senators were 2-12 last week. Rookie Drake Batherson scored for the second week in a row and fellow rookie Brady Tkachuk also found the back of the net. Duchene, Chabot, Ryan and Maxime Lajoie had the assists. The Sens are 19-79 overall.

PHILADELPHIA

Shayne Gostisbehere: Seven points in 85:42 of power play time.

Claude Giroux: Eight points in 82:59.

Sean Couturier: Two points in 79:43.

Jakub Voracek: Four points in 73:27.

Wayne Simmonds: Three points in 65:57.

Travis Konecny: Three points in 47:39.

The Flyers went 0-2 last week. They are 11-70 on the power play this season.

PITTSBURGH

Phil Kessel: 10 points in 74:10 of power play time.

Kris Letang: Eight points in 72:59.

Evgeni Malkin: 10 points in 72:40.

Patric Hornqvist: Three points in 63:52.

Sidney Crosby: Six points in 59:37.

Jake Guentzel: Two points in 43:49.

The Penguins were 2-9 this week and are 16-64. Malkin had both goals with Kessel and Letang each getting two assists. Kessel has points on all six Penguin goals over the last two weeks.

SAN JOSE

Erik Karlsson: Nine points in 84:44 of power play time.

Joe Pavelski: Four points in 80:14.

Logan Couture: Four points in 76:58.

Brent Burns: Nine points in 76:46.

Kevin Labanc: Five points in 62:26.

Tomas Hertl: Three points in 57:29.

The Sharks went 3-15 on the man-advantage over the last week. The Sharks are now 16-79 on the power play this season. Karlsson had a goal and an assist while Couture and Timo Meier each scored once. Joe Thornton and Labanc each had two assists with Burns getting one helper.

ST. LOUIS

Vladimir Tarasenko: Seven points in 75:25 of power play time.

Ryan O’Reilly: Eight points in 73:21.

Tyler Bozak: Three points in 63:11.

Vince Dunn: Four points in 60:56.

Alex Pietrangelo: Two points in 60:16.

David Perron: Five points in 55:09.

The Blues were 1-12 this week on the power play. The Blues are now 17-76 overall this season. Patrick Maroon scored with Pietrangelo and Perron drawing the assists.

TAMPA BAY

Nikita Kucherov: 12 points in 92:13 of power play time.

J.T. Miller: Eight points in 89:25.

Steven Stamkos: Seven points in 88:09.

Brayden Point: 10 points in 73:35.

Alex Killorn: Three points in 63:25.

Victor Hedman: Four points in 57:27.

The Lightning were 2-10 for the week with the man-advantage and are 24-84 so far in 2018-19. Kucherov had a goal and an assist with Point also scoring. Hedman had a pair of assists while Miller had a solitary assist.

TORONTO

John Tavares: Six points in 64:00 of power play time.

Mitch Marner: Eight points in 63:37.

Morgan Rielly: 10 points in 61:46.

Nazem Kadri: Six points in 60:31.

Patrick Marleau: Three points in 48:52.

Jake Gardiner: Two points in 47:02.

The Leafs went 0-5 this week with the man advantage. They’re 15-63 on the season.

VANCOUVER

Bo Horvat: Eight points in 89:08 of power play time.

Elias Pettersson: Eight points in 79:11.

Nikolay Goldobin: Five points in 75:51.

Derrick Pouliot: One point in 64:36.

Loui Eriksson: Two points in 50:02.

Markus Granlund: One point in 47:26.

The Canucks were 3-10 last week. Pettersson and Horvat scored and added an assist while Sam Gagner also scored. Ben Hutton and Goldobin each had two assists.

VEGAS

Jonathan Marchessault: Seven points in 82:08 of power play time.

Reilly Smith: Six points in 77:29.

Shea Theodore: Two points in 73:47.

William Karlsson: Seven points in 71:33.

Colin Miller: Six points in 67:26.

Max Pacioretty: Three points in 60:28.

The Golden Knights went 3-13 on the power play on the road this week. Pacioretty had two goals with Miller scoring once and adding an assist. Smith assisted on all three goals with Marchessault and Alex Tuch each getting one assist. The Golden Knights are 15-84 this season.

WASHINGTON

Alex Ovechkin: 11 points in 104:43 of power play time.

Nicklas Backstrom: 12 points in 89:48.

John Carlson: 12 points in 89:23.

Evgeny Kuznetsov: 11 points in 68:10.

T.J. Oshie: Three points in 63:26.

Lars Eller: One point in 42:44.

The Capitals scored twice on 10 attempts this week and are 20-72 this season. Andre Burakovsky and Ovechkin each scored with Carlson, Jakub Vrana, Matt Niskanen and Tom Wilson drawing assists.

WINNIPEG

Patrik Laine: 10 points in 76:20 of power play time.

Mark Scheifele: 10 points in 75:50.

Blake Wheeler: 14 points in 74:09.

Kyle Connor: Eight points in 73:07.

Dustin Byfuglien: 11 points in 65:15.

Josh Morrissey: Four points in 35:15.

The Jets were 4-18 last week. Laine scored twice with Connor and Nikolaj Ehlers each tickling the twine once. Byfuglien had three assists with Scheifele assisting on two goals. Wheeler, Mathieu Perreault and Morrissey each picked up one assist. The Jets are 21-69 this season.
