Wright

Wright was a non-factor last year, earning a single tackle over 28 snaps. The 27-year-old has suited up for a different team in each of his four NFL seasons.

The injury occurred a “few days back,” according to beat reporter Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area. The 2015 fourth-rounder spent the bulk of last season on Oakland’s practice squad, though he did appear in two games down the stretch, logging a single tackle over 28 defensive snaps.

Wright was cut from Miami after taking a cheap shot at a helmet-less Kenyan Drake in training camp. The 2015 fourth-rounder has bounced around the league but has experience in 4-3 schemes. He’ll give the Raiders rotational depth.

The Lions traded up to grab Wright in the fourth round last year, but that was a different front office. New GM Bob Quinn has no connection to Wright, and he could be ready to move on after the tackle played 134 mostly ineffective snaps as a rookie. Still, it would be surprising if Detroit gave up on a player they spent two picks to land after just one season. Wright will likely stick on the roster, but he needs a good showing in camp.

The Lions traded up to take Wright in the fourth round of last year’s draft only for him to be inactive much of the season. He posted below-average athletic measurables at the Combine and projected as a ‘tweener type. The Lions are loaded with interior depth after drafting second-rounder A’Shawn Robinson.

The No. 113 overall pick of last year’s draft, Wright flamed out in Detroit. He’s a depth piece for a team that wants to win as few games as possible in 2016.

Wright was added to the active roster in Week 2. He appeared in three games as a rotational lineman. With Joe Haden (groin) doubtful for Sunday, Cleveland promoted CB Darius Hillary from the practice squad.

He logged 78 snaps over five appearances for the Browns last season. A fourth-round pick out of Auburn in 2015, Wright’s NFL career has yet to take off.

Wright was waived in May by the Browns, who he played 78 defensive snaps for last season. A fourth-round pick by the Lions in 2015, Wright has yet to make a mark in the NFL. He is rotational depth at best for Philly.

Detroit traded up to grab Wright in the fifth round on Saturday. He’ll be in the mix for backup duties behind Haloti Ngata and Tyrunn Walker. Wright offers little as a pass rusher and only projects to be an average run defender.
