Albertson cited a back injury as the reason for this late WD. In a rare sequence of events, none of the alternates were waiting on-site to fill in for a second WD of the morning (Scott Brown did fill in for Davis Love III after he backed out). The next five alternates were Grayson Murray, Tommy Gainey, Wesley Bryan, Robert Garrigus, and Bo Van Pelt.

Pan was 4-for-4 this season before snapping that streak last week at the Mayakoba. Despite the early paydays, he’s just 142nd in the FedExCup race since none of his finishes have been better than a T44 (Butterfield Bermuda Championship). Gamers should remove him from all weekly lineups. There is no word on what caused this change of heart but he is somewhat active in sharing on his social media accounts so keep an eye on those for any updates.

Albertson carded a bogey-free, 4-under 66 at Holston Hills Country Club to finish at 20-under 260 for the week, the lowest total score in a KFT event this season (note: lowest score relative to par this season remains Tyson Alexander at 22-under 262 at Veritex Bank Championship). “I haven’t won in four years and to be leading every day, to be looking face to face with all that pressure or all those extra thoughts that come with that for four straight days was a challenge that I was embracing,” said Albertson, who became the first KFT winner since Cameron Young in 2021 to lead or co-lead after every round. “I’ve had an incredible amount of people help me, and I’m just so grateful for the team that I have.” The 28-year-old Albertson is just the second winner this season who previously won a KFT title (2018 Memorial Health Championship), with the other being Alexander, and he’s also the eighth KFT winner under the age of 30 this season. He’s taking the week off, as the KFT continues this week at the AdventHealth Championship, hosted by Blue Hills Country Club in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Georgia Tech product opened the season with top 35s in 4-of-6 starts but he hasn’t found one since. At the moment he’s riding a five-event missed cut streak. He’s lost strokes tee-to-green in six of his last seven measured events and lost strokes with the putter in six straight. Despite the prolonged slump, Albertson still sits at 164th in the FedExCup race so one good week is all it would take to put him back in the Playoff picture and secure his card for next season.

Albertson has missed the cut in eight of his past nine events, and he posted a 4-over 76 in the third round of the Valero Texas Open to miss the third-round cut at the only event he played into the weekend during the stretch. The 25-year-old will have a tall order trying to pull out of his nosedive against a star-studded field at Quail Hollow. Driving distance is a helpful stat at this course, but he ranks just 133rd on Tour with 289.4 yards per drive. He doesn’t do anything particularly well and can mostly be avoided for fantasy purposes until he starts to show some consistency.

Albertson has missed the cut in seven consecutive events since ending up 34th at the Desert Classic back in mid-January. He hasn’t shown any signs of pulling out of his slump, and he ranked 136th in Driving Distance (288.8 yards) while checking in 106th in Driving Accuracy Percentage (61.51 percent). The putter has also not been working for Albertson, as he ranks 150th in Putts Per Round (29.32), and he is a dismal 146th in Par 4 Scoring Average (4.05). There’s not much to like about Albertson from a fantasy perspective.

Albertson was firing on all cylinders before his two-month hiatus, posting a fifth-place showing at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Mississippi, and a solid 15th-place finish at The RSM Classic in Georgia. Greens In Regulation Percentage is a pretty important factor in success at the trio of courses used in this event, and Albertson ranks 15th in GIR during the early going this season. He has been a disaster with the putter, however, and that’s a big deterrent for DFS players this week. Albertson enters the week 220th on TOUR in Putts Per Round (30.00).

The Georgia Tech product survived day one with an even-par 70 which actually beat the Seaside scoring average by just over a stroke. After missing just one fairway at the Seaside Course, he found 12 (of 14) fairways today at the Plantation Course. That puts him inside the top 10 this week in terms of accuracy. That has allowed his approach game to shine, missing just five greens in regulation through two days of action (T2 in the field). Low rounds are becoming commonplace for Albertson who already has six rounds of 67 or better this fall. That helped him secure a T5 at the Sanderson Farms and he’s now in a position to make another weekend run. Albertson went 20-for-23 on the Web.com Tour last season with 14 of those doubling as top 25s.

This is the Georgia Tech alum’s fourth career start, 12th round and a new career low, supplanting a closing 66 at last week’s Sanderson Farms, which netted him a career-best T5. He landed 11 (of 14) fairways and 15 greens in regulation, losing 0.479 strokes around-the-green but gaining 0.534 off-the-tee. The Texas native squared two bogeys at holes 3 and 9, outpaced by eight birdies, including six birdie-3s. His split included four conversions from between 16 and 39 feet and two, two-putt varieties, posting 1.600 putts per GIR and 3.122 SG: Putting, currently No. 2 in the latter with a cumulative 5.750.
