Tiger on the other side of history

DUBLIN, Ohio – Ricky Barnes has made a little history in the third round of the Memorial, matching the lowest round ever shot by anyone playing with Tiger Woods in a PGA Tour event.

Barnes has carded a 10-under 62, which matches the score shot by Jim Furyk when he played with Woods at Doral in 1998.

Barnes dusted Woods by seven strokes, with Tiger’s 69 looking positively pedestrian by comparison.

In fact, Woods was rock solid for most of the day, apart from a double bogey at No. 10, where he blocked his drive out-of-bounds.
