After winning four titles this season, including two majors, Rory McIlroy has made the game look easy.
But Friday in Dubai, the world’s No. 1 player looked just like the rest of us weekend hackers. Going for the par-5 7th in two, McIlroy came up well short after hitting this vicious duck hook:
According to the Nation’s Steve Elling, McIlroy joked after his round that it was a “fat, low, duck-hook runner that was not intentional.”
Of course what separates McIlroy from the rest of us is that he shook off the awful shot, shot 2-under 70 and trails Henrik Stenson by two strokes heading into the weekend.
