TGC Gives Inside Look at PGA Show

ORLANDO, Fla. -- When the army of vendors, golf professionals, golf merchandise company executives and more descend on the Orange County Convention Center for the 2006 PGA Merchandise Show and Convention, The Golf Channel will be right in the heart of it, broadcasting live from the show floor, starting Thursday.

Two hours of live coverage daily from the PGA Merchandise Show tees off Thursday at 1 p.m. ET and continues through Saturday. One-hour highlight shows featuring the days earlier coverage will air each night at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Anchoring The Golf Channel coverage will be Host Kraig Kann, Golf Channel Business Correspondent Adam Barr and co-host Matt Adams. They will be joined by some of the cable networks top golf gurus, including Katherine Roberts (fitness), Marty Hackel (fashion) and Michael Breed (instruction). Rounding out the broadcast team will be reporter Jerry Foltz, business correspondent Casey Bierer and technical advisor Frank Thomas who will travel the show floor to capture all the hot new trends in golf, including fashion, fitness and instruction.

The broadcast team also will catch up with some of the biggest names in golf, with professional golfers Annika Sorenstam, Jim Furyk, Greg Norman, Chi Chi Rodriguez and Paula Creamer scheduled to appear; new PGA of America CEO Joe Steranka; and executives from some of the top golf equipment companies, including Nike Golf and Callaway Golf.

In addition, The Golf Channels roving reporters will check in on the latest golfers searching for a way to break into professional golf, as the stars of The Big Break V: Hawaii will be on hand to sign copies of their calendar.
