Golf in America: Augusta State University Men’s Golf Team

I first went to Augusta State in the Spring of 2003 to do a story on a new, young coach taking over the reins of a program, which was just starting to scratch the surface of what they could become on the national landscape of college golf. Eight years later I returned to Augusta, to once again do a story on the Jaguar Golf Team. All head coach Josh Gregory did, was lead his team to back-to-back National Championships, a feat last accomplished in the mid ‘80s. In shocking the college scene, Josh Gregory bid farewell on a high note, making the move to his alma mater, Southern Methodist University. It’s a story of five kids, one coach, and a common theme among them: ‘WHY NOT US?!’
