Tip of the Week: Adjust setup for better chip shots

Regardless of your ability level, missed greens are part of the game, and the higher your handicap the more you’re likely to miss in a given round.

While hitting more greens obviously would be nice, equally important is being able to chip the ball effectively when your approach shots miss the mark.



The key to successful chipping is distance control and good distance control comes from the ability to make solid contact.

In this video segment, top-100 instructor Brian Mogg is going to show you how a setup change when you’re chipping will help you make solid contact time and again.

Try this approach when you practice and you’ll get the ball up and down more often, which is one of the easiest ways to shave strokes off your scores.
