Who among us hasn’t taken a whack or two at our golf bag after an errant shot? It can be an incredibly satisfying experience - until we realize our cell phone was in one of the pockets. Then we’re just embarrassed.
Ian Poulter tweeted a picture of two busted cell phones Thursday at Mayakoba after what appeared to be the result of an on-course tantrum.
When a player decides to attack a tour bag... Oooppssss player and Caddy phones destroyed 😂😂😂😂 costly mistake. #2KHeadOff📱📱🔨😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/BzhB20Kixl

But Poulter sent a tweet an hour later clarifying that he was not the culprit of the smashed cell phones.
Just for the record they are not my phones or Terry's they are another player and caddy's.. 😂😂😂 and it's not @henrikstenson. pic.twitter.com/HQEFcJDFid

Poulter shot a 1-over 72 in the first round of the OHL Classic at Mayakoba, which left him seven shots out of the lead.
